There's tons of photos here...
it seems I never know when to stop...
Of course, I love REAL flowers the most...
it seems I never know when to stop...
Of course, I love REAL flowers the most...
but I have a few faux ones that I love, too.
In this basket, I combined REAL and FAUX....
Real roses but dried to stay looking pretty much longer...
Even a non-artist
can make a cute painting
of flowers....
(I am a very brave girl to show you this painting....it looks like a very young little girl had to try her hand at painting....
and it came back to bite her in her very tiny butt !! )
😄
Another vase of dried roses...
most of these are about 3 yrs old...maybe more...
and there's a couple from Mr. Sweet's memorial.
i will miss SUMMER..... ♥ ♥
Only a few real flowers growing outside right now.
Pretty Hibiscus ...
so large this year.
For some reason, I didn't buy pots and pots of red geraniums like I usually do in the spring.
I have no idea the name of this large green plant...it was inside for a year and got so large, I put it outside...it has grown and done very well, even in our hot Texas sun.
A little cross stitch sampler I did way back in 1996.
I have all the grands on here but little DEEDS...
the sampler was lost for a few years and my girl, STACY LEIGH,
found it recently.
I hope my hands don't shake so much that I can't add
Deidra's name and birth date in a pretty manner.
Sometimes, when I need (or even WANT) to do something I am nervous about,
I just talk to my mama in Heaven,
and I swear, she guides me along...

Years ago I was so interested in doing stained glass...my mother liked it to and we had many hours together creating pretties.
I didn't do this candle holder...
but if I find anything that I DID make, I will post it another time...
and, actually, this is only about half son's yard...
I've had this faux sunflower for many years...
I think it was the cool pot it's in that caught my eye...
We had only one sunflower plant in our Wild Flower Garden...
maybe a little bird dropped a seed...
I want to plant a lot of them next spring...
all the zinnas were a lot smaller this year than last...
but I've really loved bringing a few of the colorful flowers inside
and adding them to these cute little bottles.
I am linking with
GARDEN LINK PARTY...
You should check out all the pretty gardens and flowers .....
LOVE TO ALL....bj
Makes me think of that quotation -- "The Earth laughs in flowers."
ReplyDeleteI love flowers as well, real or fake. It's been so hot in our area of Texas (too, too hot for people our age!) that I haven't been able to get out and work in our flower beds.
ReplyDeleteYour painting is beautiful; wish I could paint half as good as you!
Have a blessed weekend, BJ!
Hi, Mary G....no blog and an NO REPLY email, this is the only way to say THANK YOU for the visit and sweet comment.
DeleteI love seeing all of your flowers and hearing some stories about where they came from. The cross stitch is very sweet and I know you're happy for it to be found. I've just started doing some stitching and I'm loving it so far! Thanks for time in your garden this morning! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteI also love flowers, faux (if they look real) or real. They just do something to me.
ReplyDeleteLove all of your photos. The little painting you did is sweetly innocent. Love your cross-stitch also.
Have a great Friday and weekend ~ FlowerLady
I agree with you I love flowers faux or real! I put out a planter way back in the shade that's actually silk because nothing grows well there and no-one has caught on! I love hibiscus and they seem to be fairly easy to take care of which is always a good thing! Thank you for joining the Garden Party!
ReplyDeleteOh I do love the way you thought of all different kinds of flowers today. :)
ReplyDeleteYour hibiscus is gorgeous! I have to tell you, I did plant my red geraniums this year and they died! That's never happened to me and I'm not sure what went wrong. Oh well.
Your painting is darling along with all of your other blooms.
Have a great weekend friend. Will you be in the pool?
Never too many photos, BJ, just like you can never have too many flowers. Love seeing your stitching and painting. I'm happy you feel like posting and sharing again. Hope you can stay cool.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Sarah...no blog and a No Reply email, this is the only way for me to say THANK YOU.

Your painting is lovely. Your dried roses are beautiful. All your flowers, even the faux, are a delight!
ReplyDeleteYou do flowers well...real and faux!
ReplyDeleteA lovely combination of real and faux so well done that I didn’t know the difference. I am sure that you will do a beautiful job of adding Deeds’ name to the cross-stitch.
ReplyDeleteBJ, I loved the real and the fake flowers. I use the fake ones in the ;eft over greenery of my containers...as I prep for fall decorations. I like that you talk to your mom too. I talk with mommy , not all the time, usually when I miss her so much that I cry. Just one more hug...you know. :) It will be nice to add Deeds name to the sampler. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
ReplyDeleteI am having a brain freeze, I know what that plant is that you asked about but can't think of it. I love flowers too, and my zinnias have done GREAT this year! They are falling over they are so big and heavy. Sorry yours didn't do well. Have a great holiday weekend!
