I Found My Thrill..

To all my friends,
I have been away from my blog for several months.
I just lost interest in it...not sure just why.
I started my blog in 2007 and never once tired of it
or had trouble coming up with subjects to blog about.

I am going to try...TRY... to be a better blogger.
I would also love it if you would follow me on Facebook and Instagram.
I post 3 or 4 times a week over there.

I've gone back in archives for this post.

FATS DOMINO....
do any of you remember him??
I saw him once, in person, and I'll NEVER forget how great he was ...
*
He passed away a few years back...
I know he is carrying on with his talents up there in Heaven.
*
I saw him on television right after Katrina hit New Orleans.
Because of his wife's poor health, they DID NOT evacuate....Their home was flooded.
He was born and
has lived his whole life in New Orleans.
**
He was one of my very favorite ROCK AND ROLL singers in the 50's and 60's, with
BLUEBERRY HILL being my favorite song..
OOO, how he could WORK THAT PIANO....!!
*
Speaking of BLUEBERRIES...
ummm...they are EXTRA good this year.
So juicy and sweet..
They are extra good for us, too...don't cha love it when something
that TASTE so good is actually GOOD for you!!
*
I know a lot of you work outside the home and don't always have time
to make fresh BLUEBERRY Muffins for breakfast...(or any OTHER kind of muffins)
That's why I LOVE having MIXES in the house.
I DON'T work but I do remember the days when I was always in such a hurry in the
mornings that I settled for a bowl of cereal...
*
So....what I'm sayin'...
.... there's not a thing wrong with using MIXES...
just ask SANDRA LEE
of SEMI HOMEMADE :))

I like to ADD things to mine to make them....uh...well...........MINE !
A tiny little bit of extra sweetness...
a cap full of PURE VANILLA
and.....in THIS case...
FRESH BLUEBERRIES...

I love my pretty sugar bowl with Betsy Ross and her flag.

and I love my BLUEBERRY MUFFIN with butter...
uh hu.....I surely do.

This tea tasted twice as good to me out of my pretty blue cup
with the famous ride on it. 💘

...and speaking of BLUE...
*
For as long as I can remember, I have loved the color BLUE..
BLUE dishes...
BLUE clothing....
BLUEBERRY MUFFINS....:))
*
We get a lot of the ideas of things we LOVE from our mothers or someone close to us, I think.
My mom loved BLUE..
I love BLUE...
and my daughter loves BLUE !
Neither of us use the color very much in our decorating but we both have
the BLUE and white transferware...
*
These dishes I am using are the LIBERTY BLUE edition that
was sold in GROCERY STORES in the 70's.
*
They are such collector items now...
it just amazes me that if I had only been able to get my
FORE SIGHT and my HIND SIGHT together,
I could have STOCKED UP ON THIS STUFF !!
amazing !!
*
I read, on a blog somewhere, that the THRILL of the HUNT
was lessened somewhat by EBAY and such sites.
I agree...it's MUCH more fun to find your collection pieces in thrift stores,
garage sales, flea markets..
*
HOWEVER...had it not been for Ebay, I wouldn't have all the extra
plates, cups, bowls, saucers, serving pieces
to my beautiful set of LIBERTY BLUES...
*
Sooo...we just take them where we find them...
and be happy......
I'M HAPPY !!
*
"I found my thrill......on BLUEBERRY HILL...
...it lingered until......my dreams came true.."

Thanks, Mr. FATS DOMINO, for this amazing song that
had so much meaning in my young life...!
...and, as songs sometimes do, it congers up memories of an old BOYFRIEND !! :))
**
I LOVE GOOD MEMORIES...!!

I am blessed to have a LOT of wonderful memories...
you know, some make me cry...
most make me smile
and a lot make me LAUGH OUT LOUD 💞

    God bless.

  6. Lovely to see a post, even a re-post, from you. Blogging comes and goes, but I like it better than IG because it gives a wee bit deeper view into people's lives. Your blue and white dishes are so pretty, and nothing beats fresh blueberries. Or frozen ones. We have them every morning with our yogurt and granola.

  7. Welcome back! You were missed....
One of my first dates with my DH was blueberry picking on Blueberry Hill. We picked so many blueberries we had blueberry muffins, blueberry pancakes, blueberries in our bowls of Cheerios...blueberries eaten out of hand...aah, memories :)
now adays I just get my blueberries from the grocery store.

  12. BJ, I'm thrilled to see you back! I say, keep sharing from the archives. There are so many posts that all of us have done in the past that deserve to be brought back on occasion. This is a great post! Glad you shared it again.
Here's to more blogging for both you and me. I've got the ideas, I just don't seem to find the time to get it all done.
    Happy 2020!

  16. I like the color blue, too, however there is no blue in my home at all!! My mom has a lot of blue, maybe that's why, I see it in her home all the time?? What a great idea to spruce up a muffin mix...I will have to remember that! Blogging has become a challenge for me at times, too....probably because Instagram is so quick and easy, but I feel blogging gives me more of a connection with people

  17. I'm so glad to see you back in BloggyLand. I love blue, too, though I know its not a hot decorating color - people are all into gray now. Whyyyy??? Blue is so much prettier. I have touches of it in our house and I love how cheerful it is. And I love blueberries too, in fact come see me on the blog Wednesday for an oldie but goodie blueberry recipe. (:

  20. LOVE this post BJ. Great minds think alike. Guess who I looked up last night on google????? YES, Fats Domino. YES mam I surely did! Our pastor portrayed Louie Armstrong sound alike (part of his sermon) YEP, we have a fun pastor too...but anyway, I thought, now If I can get him to sing I found my thrill! LOL! Which I am sure he won't! And of course my blog this week is about a blueberry pie I made too. I am sitting here laughing now as I read your blog. And girl...you know I am loving those blue and white dishes! Hugs and blessings to you BJ.

It's sooooo good to see you're blogging again! I've missed you; I tried following you on IG, but I must be doing something wrong and haven't been able to follow you there.
Love your blue dishes and of course, Fats Domino and Blueberry Hill. That song takes me back quite a while.
I just happen to have some fresh blueberries! I'll be making my hubby some blueberry muffins, one of his faves.
    Welcome Back, BJ!

I married in 1971 but I don't remember those dishes in our grocery stores. I love blue and white also and have for many years.

I'm glad you are back blogging after a break.

  32. We have a thrift store near us that i love to wander through. It definitely takes me back to my childhood. I love finding something that reminds me of my grandma or my mom. And by the way, my mom loved blue too and so do I!

  35. Love love the song. I remember, in high school, my boyfriend (we were married and together 30 years) and I, two best friends and their boyfriends, sitting in the car at a drive in restaurant, sipping Coca Cola and listening to this song playing on the speaker. Seems everytime we went there, especially after the Friday football games, it was playing. takes me back. Love your blog.

  36. Hello, Sweet Girl!! I'm so delighted to see you here, and to have another way to correspond---I've missed your cheery voice and fun posts and gorgeous photos, and today, here you are all in BLUE, when I'm so accustomed to a BRIGHT RED as your signature in a lot of posts. It's wonderful to hear from you again, and to know that you're out there, posting and sending out your happy voice and what I imagine to be a DEE-licious hearty laugh into our hearts. I, too, have been quite absent from EVERYTHING---not being to post on LAWN TEA for a while, and resorting to using DD's Facebook to post little stories and memories. Even all my great sheaves of E-mail are gone into the stratosphere, and I've been more incognito than ever. If you ever get a minute---LEAH HALEY on facebook will reach me, and jrbjack42@gmail.com is my sparsely filling mailbox. I've SO MISSED YOU, Sister-Girl, and hoped you well and warm and snug with your sweet family and all those glorious memories you've made along the way.

  37. Nice to see you back in the blogosphere. I too slipped away from it last year but am making a comeback (I hope!) Loved the blueberries as they are one fruit very difficult to get in Greece. We are currently in Hawaii and stuffing ourselves with blueberries (thanks to the neighborhood Costco) and Fats was my husband's all time singer. We've listened to Fats for decades! xxx J.

Are you a verified or non-verified user of a Blockchain account? Non-verified users get a daily 2 BTC of a withdrawal limit and on the other hand, verified users get upto 100 BTC a day. If you still are not a verified user but want to be the one, you should make sure that you have to provide your personal information and this process might take a few days to get completed. 42. EFFECTIVE LOVE SPELL CASTER AND LOTTERY SPELL CASTER
After being in relationship with my husband for years, he broke up with me. I did everything within my reach to bring him back but all was in vain, I wanted him back so badly because of the love I had for him, I begged him with everything, I made promises but he refused. I explained my problem to my friend and she suggested that I should rather contact a spell caster that could help me cast a spell to bring him back , I had no choice than to try it. I messaged Dr Gbojie, and he assured me there was no problem and that everything will be okay before three days. He cast the spell and surprisingly on the second day, my husband called me. I was so surprised, I answered the call and all he said was that he was so sorry for everything that had happened He wanted me to return to him. He also said he loved me so much. I was so happy and went to him that was how we started living together happily again. The spell casters email is gbojiespiritualtemple@gmail.com  . 45. Enjoyed this post so much BJ... I love blueberries too, and also have my fair share of blue transferware. I think it is great that you are bringing some old favorite posts of yours. I'm sorry that you are having issues with crazy spam commenters. If you go into your comments section on blogger, you can click and delete their comments. It helps to delete the comments so they don't keep coming back to the links they've left. I've had to do it with my blog too.

Many blessings to you, and hope you are having a blueberry kind of day :)

Way too much spam and people commenting that are stealing my space to post nonsense so.....no comments allowed.
So sorry but I have no other choice.
I love my blogging friends and most of all my family but these spam prone people are so rude and selfish have made my blogging not nearly as much fun..
