Just a few odds and ends...
bits and bobs of Christmas flavor.
This is a photo on the right, taken thru glass of a frame and not very good...
but, in real life ,like the one on the left, it is so adorable, I put it out
every single Christmas.
All 3 of the silly little girls that I love with all my heart,
are now 18 and will graduate from
high school in the spring...
boooo hooooo....where did those years go so fast..??
Have you noticed the cute sayings on the Christmas Coke bottles...?
Gingerbread..
Polar Bear...
and NAUGHTY and NICE...
so cute..
and I always have to take photos of cuteness..
stockings hung by the chimney with care....
We have 20 stockings hanging so far....
We are so blessed....
and some of the olden stockings need repairing...
hope to do that before putting them away for another year.
...also have a few gifts in bags and under the tree..
can't TELL ya what's in these GRANDDAUGHTER bags...
but I took photos of all of them and can show you AFTER Christmas .

My Father Christmas...
A friend and I went shopping
some 15 years ago
(give or take a year or two)
and we both bought one.
Not sure about ALICE, but I leave mine out all year long.
...a delicious breakfast this morning...
and it is a beautiful day...
I had a Bunco Christmas party last night...
dinner and the Chinese Christmas game... we had a blast....
Love to all.....
Oh BJ - I love your Father Christmas. 20 stockings? Goodness gracious. lol
ReplyDeleteI like your Father Christmas with the birds and can see why you leave him out all year. We have quite a few stockings we hang by the chimney too.
ReplyDeleteBut do you have Sinterklaas? :)
ReplyDeleteYou are too busy for this old lady. You wear me out. Do whatever brings you pleasure when you can. Life is too short sometimes.
ReplyDeleteLove that you have so many stockings to hang! A very Merry Christmas is coming to your house!
ReplyDeleteHow fortunate you are to have so many stockings/people at Christmas. You are truly blessed Miss BJ. You are such a sweet and positive lady. Merry Christmas! Sheila
ReplyDeleteSo cool . . . I love you "twenty stockings" . . .
ReplyDeleteAnd all your colorful decorations are nice . . .
No naughty in you bj . . .
As a bird lover, I just have to love your Father Christmas. And his colour is so unique. What a cheery post this is; thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a merry merry Christmas to me!!!
ReplyDeleteyou always have so much fun!!!
ReplyDeletea magical merry Christmas wonderland your home is,
ReplyDeleteThat Father Christmas is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWow, 20 stockings makes a lovely mantel.
God bless.
Lots of fa la la going on here! I particularly love your Father Christmas -- but to be honest, I love it all!
ReplyDeleteBJ! How do you do it? I am so loving the black and white with touches of red...and please invite me over for breakfast...YUM...!!!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like such fun at your house....wish I had a stocking hung along with yours! Christmas blessings, Diane
ReplyDeleteYour house is so festive this time of year. I wish I lived closer so I could see it in person. Every thing looks great. Have a blessed day. Madeline
ReplyDeleteBj will you come decorate my house when I get moved!
ReplyDeleteYours is always so pretty!
I love your BRIGHTS on this Party Day morning! How you make your photos so colourful and perfectly lit is just fascinating to me, as all mine seem to be taken in that old wine-dark-sea shading of seventies Bon Appetits. Simply lovely, and I love the stories they have to tell.
ReplyDeleteTonight is our little gathering for a few lady-friends, and all the party goodies are waiting in the fridge in Tups, ready for the oven, arranging on trays, etc., and Chris will start the ham on the grill about noon, to be rosy and ready for the five-o'clock table.
And THREE of the GRANDS will be arriving tomorrow, to stay for a few days whilst their parents get all the moving-into-the-new-house finished up, along with a little shopping away from inquisitive young eyes. We have a fun week planned, with cooking and cookie houses and whatever crops up to get into.
I hope you as happy and bright and festive a Christmas season as shows in your sweet spirit and colourful photos.

BJ, How dare those granddaughter grow up...that's how I feel till I could cry sometimes. I see your "someone Nice bottle is next to Mr.someone's naughty bottle. " LOL. Love all the stockings. Father Christmas is so cute. Blessings to you, xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteI'm sitting here thinking this is Evan's first Christmas and in the blink of an eye ( and if I'm lucky enough ) I'll be sharing his 18th !
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your stockings AND your mantel - just beautiful B.J. !!!
XOX
Wow! 20 stockings! How do you keep it all straight? Everything looks like Christmas at your place.
ReplyDeleteYour Father Christmas is the best one I have seen yet!
ReplyDeleteYour Father Christmas looks a little like St. Francis of Assisi with the birds. It's beautiful. Yes, those little ones grow up so quickly. Those 20 stockings look like a lot of fun!
ReplyDeleteLike Lorrie said, your Father Christmas looks like St. Francis. He is one of my favorites! I'd leave it out all year too. That photo of the littles with Santa is adorable! And I too love that Coca-Cola has added Christmas fun to their bottles & cans. 20 Stockings! However do you fill them all? My little ballerina found a fun stocking stuffer at CVS for her Secret Pal gift exchange this week: bitty marshmallows packaged as "Snowman Poo" and my 10 year old thought it was the funniest thing. I might be sneaking back to CVS on my own to make some stocking stuffer purchases for my house!
ReplyDeleteHi bj ... I would have welcomed more grandchildren, but glad I don't have to fill twenty stockings. Your stockings are so pretty. I bet you have fun making them for the great-grands now.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful Christmas.
Hugs,
Audrey Z.
What a fun post! You are right they do grow up way too fast love your Mr Christmas!
ReplyDeleteDelightful and fun Christmas photos, bj. And you're right, where does the time go! Kids grow up so fast.
ReplyDeleteOh the photo of the girls cracked me up! Love it! :)
ReplyDeleteI love the photo of the girls, such mischief sparkling in those eyes! It is a blessing to capture moments like that to savor over the years. Twenty stockings, wow, that's a lot of stuffing! They look so pretty on the mantel. I bet they set all those kids and grandkids hearts racing with anticipation when they see them :)
ReplyDeleteSanta is going to weighted down visiting 20 stockings at your home BJ, how exciting for the kids! Your father Christmas must be related to St. Francis with all the birds gathered around him - I'd be leaving him out all year too!
ReplyDeleteYour pancakes and bacon breakie looks delicious.
It looks so pretty and festive!!
ReplyDeleteLovely collection of photos.

ReplyDeletePhotos of Christmas past are meant to make the heart happy again. We have a tree filled with photo ornaments of the grand crew and it is very special to me. Nice set of images. Looks like you're ready for Santa to arrive.
