Hello, all...
"An apple a day keeps the doctor away...."
I've heard it all my life....
I love apples and my favorite way to eat them...
BAKED....
with CINNAMON and SUGAR and a tad bit of BUTTER.
We all like before AND after PICTURES, RIGHT...!?!
I just hollow out the inside of the apple just enuf to hold
the butter, cinnamon and sugar...
then into the microwave for a few minutes....until the apple is fork tender.
Then, the next step...
slice off a couple of slices of BANANA NUT BREAD,
butter and
slide under the broiler until nice and toasty.
Next step.....
pour a nice juice glass full of
ORANGE JUICE...
...pure SUNSHINE....
Apples are one of the less expensive fruits so we can have all we want...
and I'm glad !!
Dried apple chips....ummm
Apples dipped in caramel....o my gosh...
but baked is best. (to me, that is)
When I have candy RED HOTS,
I fill up the apples and bake...
takes care of the SUGAR and CINNAMON
and.....adds spice to the apple and it is sooo good.
It sure does make a great breakfast treat...
...especially paired with
slices of Banana Nut Bread,
juice and DUNKIN DONUT COFFEE.....
Here's to you having a beautiful day....
XOXO bj

ReplyDeleteBaked apples in the microwave. I will definitely be trying this idea. They look delish.
ReplyDeleteThe red hots in the baked apples is one of the best ideas I've heard in a while! LOVE that!
ReplyDeleteThose apples look so yummy, the banana bread too which is a favorite of mine. Have a great day, Laura
ReplyDeleteI bake apples all the time though I never tried it on the microwave. Will certainly give it a try. Mine have honey instead of sugar and for the heck of it I add some raisins and the necessary cinnamon. Don't you feel so wrong to bake apples and not add the cinnamon? ;) Great Marriage.
ReplyDeleteStopped by to wish you a Wonderful and Exciting New Year!
Teresa
