I have all the sweets I need around The Summer House...
but...
I am planning on having
red beans
onion
fried potatoes
tonight for dinner....
♥
and I need....
mine, too...
but it all tasted better when he was at the table with me....
π
Well...
ANYway......
so, I baked CORN MUFFINS..
That way, I can have a couple tonight
and freeze the others for later.
Boy, they are sooo good....
especially with BUTTAH....
Some of my blogging buddies will remember that I LOVE
cute muffin papers...
Michaels always have some really cute ones and I pick several packages up each time I go in.
I just think cute paper cups make just about anything taste even better...πππ
Another thing I just love is this cute wooden riser....
I am going to pick up a few more as I find them.
Hoping you all will have a good rest of the week.....

Golly, BJ, it was 40° here today, too. The difference between Maine and Texas is that it felt like a heat wave to us! π I am so glad that you bake for yourself and prepare yourself a nice meal. That’s taking good care of yourself and Mr. Sweet would certainly want you to do that. I still love my papers. I don’t think that I’ll ever run out! It’s a gift that keeps on giving. Thank youπ
ReplyDeleteBJ, your muffins are beautiful, so golden . . . They look like they would melt in your mouth. Your meal sounds amazing. . . Comfort food. What's better than that?
ReplyDeleteIt's almost pool time.
ReplyDeleteI like to have cornbread or corn muffins with chili. It never occurred to me to look for cute muffin papers at Michael's --d'oh! I'm slow on the uptake! Of course they would carry cute stuff in their baking section!
ReplyDeleteThey look delicious!
ReplyDeleteBJ, I come to visit and what do I see, you been baking again. LOL. I see you went to Diana's and read what I wrote about you baking. LOL. Oh I could not resist, you do bake some wonderful tempting treats. I love your baking papers. I use them when I make cornbread too. So easy. Gosh, cloudy, rainy and 40 looks better at your house than here. :):) Blessings to you sweet friend. Love you, xoxo, Susie
ReplyDeletep.s.. I know you miss your wonderful Mr. Sweet. We miss seeing loving photos of you two together.
Your photos are great. The cornbread muffins look so delicious. Have a blessed day. Madeline

ReplyDeleteI love how you filled your glass container with colorful muffin liners. Cute!
ReplyDeleteyour muffins make me want to try them... please give me some....
ReplyDeletehave a great day.
# I follow you, I'll appreciate if you follow me too
The sun is shining today and we are actually supposed to get above freezing. So looking forward to springs real arrival here.
ReplyDeleteLove your cute muffin papers.
God bless.
I'll tell you bj I so want the warmer temperatures but more than anything the sun. NJ has felt like weather you hear about in Seattle. So much cloud cover wet spring, summer and fall. This winter the same but at least not a ton of snow.
ReplyDeleteSo right the pretty paper covers are great. You have beauties.
Enjoy the rest of your week
Cindy
Hi bj,
ReplyDeleteThe muffin papers are adorable. I love them too. I sent you an email and also wanted you to know you won the give away on my blog. Just get in touch with me with your address so I can get your Devotion book to you. I am sending it off Amazon so if you would rather have the baking devotions since you love to back over the front porch devotions I would be glad to send that one to you. Enjoy those muffins.
Hugs,
Kris
Now you have me wanting to bake cornbread! LOL! YUM! Oh I adore the pretty papers too! Just dolls things up a little doesn't it. Your supper sounds good. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteForty is a bit chilly! Beans and cornbread is a favorite of mine. True comfort food. Stay warm, BJ!
ReplyDeleteThose muffins look delicious! Love the muffin paper cups, I'll have to remember to look for them at Michaels the next time I'm there.
ReplyDeleteYes, things tasted so much better when our hubbies were with us. Alas. They still do taste good.
Warm, sunny and humid here in s.e. FL. The a.c. is on. ;-)
Enjoy your week ~ FlowerLady
Well it has been near 70 around our place this week and yesterday the clouds rolled in dumping hail and rain and temperatures dropped considerably. Your post reminded me that I had planned to buy a muffin tin while in the US and forgot to do so. It will go on my next time list.
ReplyDeleteGoodness gracious that pool is so gorgeous even on gloomy rainy day!! and CORNBREAD.....oh yum it's so good hot from the oven and yes!--with lotsa BUTTER! Your cupcake liners are so cute!!
ReplyDeleteOh look at you BJ still bright and chirpy with pretty pictures and pink flamingoes despite the rain and sweet memories. Keep some of those Cornbread in the freezer because one day I'm coming round for some of your baking!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful Wednesday!

Bj You make the best looking bread & Photos.
ReplyDeleteLoving the flamingos by the pool, the colorful muffin liners and yum on the cornbread.
ReplyDeleteThings just taste better when they are "prettied up"! Cold weather makes me feel like staying busy in the kitchen too, it has a way of warming your bones up :) Your pool area looks amazing, bet you are quite ready for summer to arrive so it can be enjoyed! Blessings :)
ReplyDeleteLOVE cornbread and that looks mighty good to me!
