I'm hoping everyone had a safe and fun 4th of July...
it is one of the most loved holidays we have, I think.
It seems like the grill was going the whole weekend...
burgers....
chicken...
ummm ummm goood
this is a familiar sight around here...
the little GREAT-Grands LUV this small tub and head for it
the minute they get here....
Hi, Graham....
Hi, Patrick....
Hi, Andrea...
Happy 4th of July, 2016
.....and our flag was still there
cute napkins...
and we did, indeed,
SEAS THE DAY...
Collen, Bailey's boyfriend taking Graham for a ride on the mower....
...always lots of board game playing
I didn't get a single pic of the mountains of food at this
4th of July party time...
There were between 35 and 40 people gathered together to
celebrate this beloved holiday...
Everyone brought food, drinks and their lawn chairs..
(there's those silly glasses again...)
the whole neighborhood tried to outdo their neighbors and we had
a FANTASTIC show.
My camera doesn't do fireworks well but I got just a little bright color here.
All in all, it was a terrific time, had by all.
Looks like a fun fun time. I forgot to snap photos of the food at our gathering, too. OYE!
ReplyDeleteIt must have been catching because I forgot food shots, too. Looks as if you all had a blast! I love that pool feature for the little ones.

Hello from Marshville... Stacey
BJ looks like a very festive 4th of July celebration. Your life is filled with love and family, and I love when you share in photos. On the 4th we won a trophy at a car show for our vintage French Citroën, I made chicken wings and potato salad - but it rained in the evening. Be happy and well sweet BJ.

BJ, a beautiful family and gathering for a special celebration! I am glad it was a wonderful party for all! Pam @ Everyday Living
ReplyDeleteBJ.. it looks perfect!!!!! I love everything about this post. Paul and I didn't do anything on 4th of july, our oldest daughter is out of the country for the summer and our youngest had to work.. we were invited to different places (but no place that I longed to be since they involve hard core drinking etc .. not my thing) ~ I said to paul, I wish we had friends who just liked the simple things, a cookout with hot dogs, sparklers, kids, old people and everything in between .. and sadly his response was, " You and I long for the same thing. You want family, but we don't have that." Until that moment, I didn't realize how much I missed having my family.
ReplyDeleteI think we're coming to your house next year! Thanks for sharing!!!!
What a fun time. Those cheeks in the first pictures grabbed me. I can tell they love that pool and they seem to like to pose.

I love how your family takes every opportunity to gather together and have fun. It's clear that you all love each other and enjoy being together. Do you know how rare that is? So glad you had a wonderful 4th of July.
ReplyDeleteWell it looks like a glorious Independence Day!! I love the very green lawn too, its hard to keep that way in this heat. Daring children at the pool.
ReplyDeleteAnn
It looks as if your 4th of July was loads of fun.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Apart form the fireworks (the unsanctioned ones that freak me out because it is so dry here and the fact that the people do them all hours of the night!) the fourth is a fave holiday for me, too. And boy-- you did it up right! Very festive!
ReplyDeleteYou are so blessed to have a large, loving family. Glad you had a wonderful day.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Audrey z.
I would love to have some grands to play with on the 4th of July.
ReplyDeleteBJ, I fixed your link, and it now reads cake. Your July 4th celebration looks like so much fun! I hope you have a marvelous weekend, sweet lady.
