My heart is broken over losing SMILING SALLY,
just as I know all of your hearts are broken.
Blogging will never be the same for me,
but I am so thankful God put Sally in my life...
I am a better person for knowing her thru blogging.
Thanks, Sally girl, for all the great times and memories.....
I treasure all your phone calls that always left me laughing...
your emails full of humor and caring...
your blog posts that your sweetie Johnny helped supply the pretty blues you shared......

ReplyDeletePrecious tribute...Blue Monday was a meme I missed participating in, though I often ran into many who were. I think that will happen again as I visit in Blogdom tomorrow.

BJ,
ReplyDeleteThe Land of Blog has blessed and enriched all our lives with amazing women,
such as Sally, through correspondence that turned to friendships.
She is sorely missed by many.
I enjoyed her replies the few times I was able to join in Blue Monday, also!
Thank you for this post highlighting your years of blog friendship with Sally.
She will be greatly missed.
Fondly,
Pat
I missed it. What happened? I know she was in hospital a couple weeks ago. I checked her blog after reading your post.

I'm sorry for the loss of your pal
ReplyDeleteVery nice tribute bj . . .
ReplyDeleteSad for you and your friends in the death and loss of Sally . . .
Hello BJ!
ReplyDeleteI am pleased to meet you! I am sorry to read of the loss of your blog friend, Sally.
You and I could be very close in age. I was a huge Beach Boys fan in the 60's. I met them when they performed in Seattle in 1966. I hope you have a blast at their concert tomorrow!
I know the discomfort, and embarrassment of eczema very well. I have suffered with it for a little over ten years. I have used a prescribed topical steroid for years. It calmed it, but never cured it. One day I was watching QVC and I listened a few testimonials about a product called "First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream". There were comments stating that it helped with eczema on adults and children. I thought . . . what do I have to lose? I purchased it! As I said at Jane's blog, it's like a miracle for me. I had immediate relief. I use it all over after my shower or bath in the morning, and re-apply it on my arms and legs at night. I hope it gives you and your family the relief it has given me. I did a blog post on it February. The title of the post was called "First Friday". I mentioned Amazon in my post. I do not recommend purchasing products like this from Amazon any longer, because sometimes the products can be old. Please let me know if you try it. Thank you for visiting my blog! I will be thinking of you tomorrow night when your dancing to Good Vibrations!

Aw..I'm sorry to read you lost a good blogging friend, BJ. I didn't know Sally but can see that she was greatly loved. Hugs, Deb
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet post Bj! I remember fondly joining Sally's parties. She was the kindest host around. I loved it when I found her blog because blue is my favorite color. What a nice post you put together in her memory.
ReplyDeleteThere are not a lot of words to share. Just seeing how much love there is for Sally makes me smile. She was a unique one of a kind lady. I will never see something blue without thinking of Sally first. Thank you bj for your beautiful share. we are all better for knowing Sally. xo Anne
ReplyDeleteDearest bj, This is a lovely tribute to Sally today. She was a very special person and I miss her so much. Sally has so many friends in Blogland and her loss has been a shock to everyone. She did not want the sympathy and sadness so she wanted her illness kept very private. So like her to not want her friends too know. She is home with our Lord and at peace now.
ReplyDeleteLoved all you blue bj, you are definitely a fan of the color blue. Me too. I promised Sally I would carry on her Blue Monday Blog party when she asked me if I would. I will be ready next Monday for linking. Beverly is helping me do this. Yikes. I can't let Sally down. I only pray that I can live up to her wonderful hosting these many years.
Have a wonderful week and thank you for your comment and kind words.
Much love,
Jeanne
Such a beautiful tribute by you, and by her friends as well. Unfortunately, I did not know Sally, but I can tell how special she was by how much she is missed. xoxo Su
