It doesn't get much better than beautiful flowers and Cherry Pie...
I love ALL flowers and pretty much ALL
pies...
Cherry Pie is at the top of my
Favorites List
and I don't like to use sweet cherries..or the cherry pie filling in the can....
We like TART cherries .... you know....the kind that makes your mouth pucker...:)
The recipe is on the inside label if you use OREGON cherries....
If you use another brand of Tart Cherries, here is the recipe...
you might like these better....
I've never used them so I don't know how they taste but they are the large BING Black Cherries so they can be no other way than DELISH....
....my little PIE BIRD always makes me laugh when I see his picture...
like a real live little baby bird, waiting for a worm....

ReplyDeleteI would not care how you made it,a big, hot slice would go well now. I just finished my Whataburger.
ReplyDeleteOh- That sounds so good. Did you know we live in the Cherry Pie Capital of the Midwest? Door County grows cherries that are shipped world wide--something about the soil and the cold weather make them perfect!
ReplyDeleteDidn't catch that the flower were faux until I got almost to the end. lol xo Diana
Now...you know we all will be thinking of pie all weekend long! Saw NanaDiana's comment above and have to say the very, very best cherry pie I ever had was in Door County Michigan. Still dreaming about it.
ReplyDeleteSure looks good BJ, enjoy. Happy weekend.

Those poor fauxes, hunted for the sake of those artificial flowers
ReplyDeletejust a lame joke, but I think most people don't know faux is not said like "fox" but rather "foe".
BJ ~ you have single handedly blown my diet ;-) I'll forgive you if I can have a slice of that pie!

I LOVE, love cherry pie! My mother made the best I've ever eaten. She always used the tart cherries too. I can't go the sweet ones or the pie filling. I so wish I had a piece right now! The flowers look so real, I would have never guessed they were faux.

ReplyDeleteWith that said, your pie looks awesome, there is nothing better than the look of a real, homemade pie!!
I want a slice of that pie!
ReplyDeleteBJ, that IS a beautiful pie! And I'm very particular about pie -- I don't waste my sugar and calorie intake on inferior or even mediocre or pretty good pie. I'd like a big slice of that right this minute.
