I hosted Bunco at my house ( ll/ll)
and we really had a great time.
I put out the welcome sign for my Bunco Friends..
As there are 12 players in Bunco,
you need 3 tables, seating 4 each. (DUH)
Our dining room is large enuf to fit 2 card tables in
and, taking the leaves out of the dining table to seat 4, it works perfectly.
Our daughter, STACY LEIGH, loves black and white checks as much as I do
and she ordered these 3 tablecloths just for our Bunco games.
I LOVE IT....
This is the little glass-top table I bought several years ago at a thrift shop
for $16.00...
I used it in the living room of our olden house
but it just shines in it's place in the Summer House dining.
There's that pretty BITTERSWEET
showing up again....
I love taking photos thru the glass
to whatever I might have underneath the little table.

Each table had a little centerpiece...
A chair at ea table had a sticky taped to the underside...
who ever was in that chair at the end of the games got the little ornament.
Nothing fancy or expensive at all...
just a fun thing to do.
This is the $100.00 Mackenzie*Childs pitcher
that I found at the Salvation Army for $1.25.
It's not my favorite MC pattern but it looks pretty cute
By the time the ladies arrived
and we started eating
CHICKEN SALAD SANDWICHES
on Pumpkin Harvest Bread,
Sun Chips
baked beans
veggie tray and dressing
Pickled Beets
the BEST cheese ball
Chips and dips
Pecan pie and Apple pie
I forgot all about taking pictures of my good friends...BUMMER
After everyone left, I was sooo mad at myself.
We had a super time...
I love all my good friends and it's sooo great to
know that I'll see them all each and every month.
I'll MAKE SURE to take photos of all these lovely ladies
at our BUNCO CHRISTMAS PARTY in December.

BJ, I am in love with all your black and white. I love all your sweet touches. That pillow thru the bargain table...both are so cute. I know what you mean about forgetting to get photos...I have done the same darn thing before. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteYou've got a great house.
ReplyDeleteI do love that little bowl! bj- You just have so much fun it makes me want to start a bunco group! Wish I lived close enough to act as an "extra" at your bunco group. I miss those girlfriend get-togethers we used to have when I lived in town. That one picture really does look like a French cafe! You take the best pictures, bj. I always love visiting you. xo Diana
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun party! I have never played Bunco but my little sister loves it and is (or was) in a Bunco Club. My civic women's club has a bunco interest group but I haven't joined it cuz I sub for their Euchre group sometimes - all the time I have for the fun stuff these days.
ReplyDeleteYou created a wonderful party, bj - you have to be the "bestus and funnest friend" ever. ♥
Well, BJ, I've never played Bunco and, in fact, never even heard of it before. I guess I'll have to Google that one. :) It looks like you would all have a fun time set up at the tables and enjoying a nice lunch and playing this game. Have a super weekend!
ReplyDeleteLooks like the perfect setting - I wish I were your neighbor...maybe I should learn Bunco and start a crew of my own, hmmm? The menu sounds divine. (:
ReplyDeleteIt's been years since I played bunco with my neighbors in Ventura California, so much fun!
ReplyDeleteEverything looked terrific. I know the ladies had a good time. The menu sounded so good. Have a blessed evening. Madeline
ReplyDeleteOne time Daisy had most of her cousins come to a thanksgiving at her parents. She got mad at me because I took zero pictures.
ReplyDeleteHi bj, Your tables look fabulous and I love the B&W checked tablecloths. I just got one to use in my Christmas kitchen. Great find on the MC pitcher. I'm sure your Bunco friends had a great time. I've never played Bunco but it sounds fun.
ReplyDeleteGreat pics! xo
Where did she order the table cloth(s) from. I want one.
ReplyDeleteDear JMD...
DeleteSince you aren't a blogger and you are a NO REPLY emailer (no email address), this is the only way to contact you.
I will find out where she ordered the tablecloths and post it on my blog page.
I will post my email but delete it after you see it, please. No, not a blogger.

ReplyDeleteI'm happy you and your friends had a time. From what you showed the other day I knew it was going to be fun. I like McKenzie Child's too.

I love those tablecloths! All your black and white looks so good with everything else you decorate with. I guess that is the beauty of black and white, it looks crisp and goes with everything! Your centerpieces are adorable and the food sounds amazing! I don;t blame you for forgetting the pictures :)
ReplyDeleteYou're the best hostess, bj! I have one of those black and white checked tablecloths, which I bought at Kohl's a couple of years ago. I can't believe that MC bargain pitcher from the Salvation Army!!! Wow!!! I think you all had so much fun, that's why you forgot to take pictures.
ReplyDeleteHi BJ,
ReplyDeleteI miss my old bunco group. When we moved up where we are now the group kind of fizzled. It was a lot of fun. It looks like your group is a good size and you have a lot of fun together. Happy Friday and have a wonderful week end.
