Hello, all
I've known for a long, long time what a fabulous group of bloggers we have...
Kind
Caring
Helpful
Friendly
Good-Lookin' and Fun Lovin'
When my darling friend, VERA, talked about this fabulous RUB that she
grills with from TRADER JOE'S,
I told her we didn't have a Trader Joe's in our town
COFFEE....and GARLIC and other spices....
wrapped in gorgeous BLACK & WHITE...
my olden heart was going pitter-patter about now....
awww...thanks so much for taking the time to wrap my package
in what you KNEW I would dearly love....
I couldn't wait to try this rub.
Social Security
frowns on too many thick, nice steaks so I decided, after reading on the little cute shaker
that this rub was great for poultry, too...
I went with it.

I tried ordering one but Amazon was out at the time...
...and then along came.....
a package in the mail.

I sprinkled some on rather thin skinless chicken breasts
knowing I was going to bake them in the oven and then on the
George Forman grill
because
Mr. Sweet is the griller and he was not available.
I don't know squat about grilling.....
Also knowing that baked chicken can become very dry in a hurry
if precautions aren't taken.....
so I greased a piece of foil generously with butter and lay it flat on the chicken breasts.
Once they were baked thru and thru, I put them on my
George Forman Grill
just long enuf to brown them
(and to leave "grill" marks.)
(I mean, we ALL wanna look pretty)
Turned out very moist and so flavorful...
Coffee and Garlic Rub.....AWESOME !
If you get the chance, buy some of this seasoning...I think YOU will love it, too.
Speaking of chicken...
I sill love my Frenchy Rooster tray that a very good friend gave me..
so cute and I use it all the time.

How wonderful! So many great people out in the blogging world!
ReplyDeleteOh I have seeeeeen that RUB, someplace. Someplace on the net. And it sounded soooo intriguing. ,-)
ReplyDeleteWith coffee! Which of course, my 'olden' self can not drink anymore. Soooooo, to s-n-e-a-k some in, is a cool idea, with me.
And now, you have been gifted with some, and loved it. Hooray.
Oh and btw, I *holler* to you, in my tomorrow's post. -big grin- Knowing that if I remember something, you will remember it too.
Keep grillin' and chillin' Honey-Bunny!!!!!
And may your week have some whimsey and magic, in it,
Tessa
We have Trader Joes the next town over. I've been very impressed by that company. Especially after learning how well they treat and take care of their employees.
ReplyDeleteAww, how thoughtful.
ReplyDeleteI love Trader Joe's.
Yum, they look great! How do you do your blog banners? They are always so cute.

I've lived most of the time in areas that have had Trader Joe's . So fortunate. We actually lived around the very first Trader Joe's in Southern California before we moved to Washington and then they arrived in Washington, too.
ReplyDeleteBlogland is full of thoughtful people bj!
ReplyDeleteI love trader joes, and up until recently have always lived close to one. I have tried that rub and it's delish. Your chicken looks so tasty too!

ReplyDeleteTrader Joe's is such an awesome store and they have so many wonderful things at such reasonable prices! Coffee and Garlic...I will have to look for this rub when we get back home! I made a coffee rub a few months ago and it was fabulous! Who knew coffee would give meat so much flavor?! :-)
ReplyDeleteLooks and sounds yummy . . .
ReplyDeleteI am far away from a Trader Joes . . . I'll grab some next time I am near TJ.

The chicken looks great BJ. We don't have a Trader Joe's either. Perhaps a trip to a bigger center across the border is in the future.
