THE BUDDY HOLLY STORY
starring Gary Busey and about 30 minutes before it ends, we both start crying.
Thanks to my blogging friend, Stacey, I was able to add this youtube...and I watched it when BH was on the
Ed Sullivan show on Dec. 1, 1957
...and nearly fainted.:>)

Gary Busey did the most amazing job in his portrayal of the great Buddy Holly...this movie was made in 1978....
If you will kindly excuse me now...
I HAVE NEED to go watch this movie again....
XOXO
E had Most of them, dear Lady... a pleasant evening to you and yours+
ReplyDeleteGot 12 right. I loved Buddy Holly, and wanted my mother to name my youngest sister Peggy Sue!
ReplyDeleteHi bj, I enjoyed the Buddy Holly video very much. Have a beautiful Sunday!
ReplyDeleteAlka Seltzer boy had a name? Interesting. I did quite well on this quiz, which I am sure means that I am older than dirt. Fun video clips! Totally off track here, but my niece is dating a young man who looks remarkably like Buddy Holly right down to stature and glasses. Hmmmm...wonder if I should ask him if anyone has ever mentioned it. Fun post, BJ!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing, really nice. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteBJ, The funniest thing, after doing comments on your post...later yesterday I saw the Buddy Holly movie. Busey did a good job in that role of Buddy. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteOnly got 13, but mainly because I just couldn't remember, not because I didn't know it. I remember Red Skelton well, I remember bawling my eyes out when he died. I never saw The Lone Ranger or Howdy Doody and never noticed cigarette commercials when I was little - but this was super fun. I hope you do them again. It's good for our brains!
ReplyDeleteI figured 11 was bras but I don't think anyone gave the answer
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed that blast from the past...
ReplyDeleteWow, he was born a year before me. And passed, so young...
Dare I admit, that I remember more, the later version of that song, by Ricky Nelson...? -ducking, running and hiding-
Tessa
Hi BJ I missed 3. Cute quiz, have a wonderful Sunday!
ReplyDeletexoxo,
Vera
I missed four. Buddy Holly was one of my favorites. Have a blessed day. Madeline
ReplyDeleteI quizzed Dear and our 29 year old daughter and they were both old enough to answer all but one!
ReplyDeleteFun post. I love silly stuff like this.
ReplyDeleteI missed 4 - don't know why as I am old enough. Brain napped for a bit I guess. :)
ReplyDeleteWell, I got them all, but seeing that I graduated from High School in 1957, and seeing that I am "old", that may be the reason ..
ReplyDeleteHi, Bonnie...no blog and you are a NO REPLY emailer so this is the only place to tell you THANKS for coming by. I graduated in '56 and I am older than dirt but a couple had me stumped....
