I am SOOO bad...
I guess I don't really COVET since I don't want THEIRS......
I just want one LIKE theirs.
(I can remember this lesson so well from my mama...
she told me from the time I can remember to
NEVER want what someone else had...
but that it was alright to want one LIKE it.
and my mama seldom, if ever, steered me wrong.
Sooo....I've worked it out in my mind that I am ALLOWED to want
one LIKE another blogger might have.
.....for instance....
HOW IN THE WORLD could a person NOT want one of these
adorable and oh-so-popular
WHITE FAUX SHEEP SKIN RUGS...????
Why, I've never been so totally knee-deep in LUV..
Of course, every single thing that SUZAN does is sooo stinkin' cute
that I stay in a HYPERVENTILATING MODE the whole time
I am visiting her blog.
I almost have to lie down for a short nap.....
I almost have to lie down for a short nap.....
Well, believe me....nothing would do but that
I HAVE A RUG.....just like hers.
(now remember....I am not wanting HER rug....
just one LIKE it... so I' m not sinfully CONVENTING her rug...)
Yes, ma'am....
I bought myself and my girl one of these classy rugs...
and then I walked around my house for 15 hours..... trying to think where to put it....
.....a STAR
O, YES.....
Does it look like a MOVIE STAR to you....???
...sooo stinkin' cute
...sooo stinkin' cute
...it looks amazing thrown across a table top...

Suzan used one of her rugs for covering a vintage bench....
She has the most adorable business of buying olden pieces and bringing them into a whole new life....
Be sure to visit her and she can show you tricks with painting you never thought of.....
More fun playing with this furry thing..
I threw it across my vintage cedar chest and it's not nearly as pretty there
as HERS on her WHITE table..(I'd LIKE to covet her white table but I won't )
so....maybe I need to paint my olden chest....uh....CEDAR chest, that is.

black and white framed family photos.....
IMAGINE THAT !!

SHE ordered her rugs from IKEA but they were out of stock
when I tried.
So, I skipped right on over to AMAZON, typed in faux sheep skin rug and
up they popped.

The way you described your hyperventilating was so funny. I love what you did with yours too. My daughter loves those, and she throws one of them on her bed for her kitty. xoxo
ReplyDeleteI think it can be used in many ways, for sure, as you have shown us. Very unusual twist to decorating.
ReplyDeleteCovet? Did you say covet? Well, I hate to admit it but I do too. You know my little mother told me the same thing! So... :) Well, the fuzzy rug looks wonderful and I'm glad you're happy. I must tell you, each time I pop over for a visit - you've got another pretty header up! Hope you're doing well.
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,

Ahhhh...I remember the days when I had a real sheepskin. Loved that thing and, since I used it on my hassock, it felt so good on my bare feet. LOL...Yours looks more groomed than mine.

Oh I've been loving those sheepskin rugs for a long time and I know what you mean about trying to figure out where to put it. I love where you placed yours, though. It looks nice there, but then again, it looked nice in the other places, too because it's just so pretty. When I finally got one, I ended up putting it in the living room across the piano bench.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week, BJ... :)
Every time I see those sheepskin rugs at Costco, I want one, bj. Yours looks so pretty and looks very luxurious. I'd love to wiggle my toes in it! I'm sure you'll think up all kinds of ways to use that gorgeous rug!
ReplyDeleteSuzan is amazing! She has such talent along with a wonderful sense of humor. :)
ReplyDeleteI bought one of those rugs some time ago at Walmart! Now, I've walked around for eleventy-something days and still haven't figured out a landing spot for it. Why don't you come over and help me?

We don't have any IKEAs here
ReplyDeleteYeah, but wanting one of those rugs on a table just LIKE hers....understandable!! Now I'm righteously wanting both. Who wouldn't?! ;)
ReplyDeleteLove the creative ways you display yours too!!
Hey, Baby, I think your taste is spot on, and the bible says thy neighbors wife or xxss or anything that is thy neighbors... She lives purty far piece from Texas! So you are good! That rug is awesome. I might just have to covet me one, too!
ReplyDeleteHey bj ... don't we all covet/want/copy what we see that appeals to us? Glad you found what you coveted. Suzan is so talented ... she makes me want to copy her too.
