We had a beautiful grapevine along our back fence at the olden house we sold last winter...
This particular year, we were blessed with a lot of rain....
The grapevine grew like crazy and was totally LOADED with grapes.
I decided to have a WINE TASTING PARTY
right there in my own backyard.
This kind of photo shoot just tickles me to death...
WILD VINES,
BLACKBERRY....
It's sweet..not TOO sweet...just right.
It's a light wine and very enjoyable...
Most desserts go well with wine, I think.
The above.....little STRAWBERRY CREAM tarts...
and another great dessert made WITH the wine....
BLACKBERRY WINE CAKE

ReplyDeleteBJ, your setting is so beautiful! Perfect for a wine tasting! Love those big, beautiful sunflowers in the background; and the grapes in the terra cotta pots are so cute.

ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful setting...well done, BJ!! Your postings make me hungry...you make the BEST items & you always seem to come up with stuff I've never tried, like that wine & the cake recipe. Oh & the strawberry tarts, too!! I think I've gained weight just looking at the beautiful pictures.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the one of you & your DD wearing the same turquoise necklace...AWESOME!!! You're still as beautiful as ever & she is the spitting image of you.
A very pretty vignette, and the wine and mini tarts look so yummy. Thanks for sharing a special event with us.
ReplyDeleteGlenda
Everything looks so pretty and yummy, but I have to tell you that my little finger just keeps scrolling up to the Johnny Depp photo and my little eyes are just feasting away...on him! If that quote were true, I'd make myself very afraid of him, too. LOLOL!
ReplyDeletePretty.........delicious............fun..........a BJ post!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a FUN post, bj. Uyo take the most beautiful pictures. I always LOVE coming here to see what you are up to- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteI can't decide which I like better, the whole idea of a backyard wine tasting, the way your photos looked, or the recipe I just clicked to see. It all looks so wonderful to me and you are right that it reminds me of playing house when I was a little girl.
ReplyDeleteWhat pretty pictures! You lucky duck to have a grapevine. I planted some a few years ago along the edge of the garden. The next spring hubby tilled them all under :( One of these years I need to try again and surround them with orange caution cones! Thank you for sharing at What We Accomplished Wednesdays. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Deborah
