O, the BLUENESS of it All......

Hello, dear ones...

Oh my gosh....what a busy time...
and right in the middle of it all,
Mr. Sweet and I both have winter colds...

He is just about over his and mine is just starting so I'm pretty sure
HE GAVE IT TO MOI....

Even tho I'm walking around with Lysol spray and disinfectant wipes,
I STILL caught it.
BUMMER ...!!

The only good thing is that most likely, I will be totally over it
for CHRISTMAS.
Yay !

OK....on with the blue post....

Some of you may remember that I have chosen
TURQUOISE
as my accent color in this
beautiful SUMMER HOUSE that our son and daughter in law have so graciously and generously offered to us for our new home.

I found this beautiful and sooo soft turquoise throw at TARGET and I am about to go back and buy another.

LUV IT !!

A fun turquoise lamp on the chest of drawers in the master....
Yep...I added the silver colored cross and tied a cute, saucy burlap bow on it...

A turquoise pillow or two...
and, of course those turquoise birds....

Besides loving the color of turquoise,

Actually, I believe it is my
FAVORITE COLOR...
THIS is the inspiration of the color...

...this luscious color in the rug...
the cushions...
everywhere I look.

So, here for CHRISTMAS...

it was only NATURAL to put

a delicious TURQUOISE tree in our new dining room...

This little BIG LOTS 4' tree came lighted...$20....NOT BAD !!

I added just a few SILVER picks...

I also used some of that beautiful white mesh ribbon
that I love.....

I do love my non-traditional dining room tree...

I must say....

it looks GREAT in this dining room by the sea...

OK....OK.... by the POOL   !!!
SHEESH.....

Sure been cold here...
that frozen little water fall is at the entrance to this house addition....

that white snow sure makes the color of the water sooo BLUE... beautiful.

  30. Bummer that you've caught a cold, BJ, but you're right...at least you won't be sick for Christmas Day! When I was little, there was ALWAYS someone sick then at our house.
Your turquoise tree & decorations are just divine...what a special & unique take for display. I love it, as that is my favorite color in all the world. (close second would be RED)

I hope you feel better soon & that it warms up for you down there. We won't be warm here till EASTER!! LOL

  31. Hi bj! So pretty, even the snow around the pool! Your turquoise is just gorgeous, but as much as I wear it (jewelry, T's, etc.) I don't decorate with it...doubt I ever will, but..I don't (sob!) get to live in a lovely pool house either! Some folks just get lucky, is what I have to say!! JUST get lucky!! :) It's a gorgeous color and you are doing a beautiful job using it. :)
Big hugs and Merry Christmas! Just a bit over a week to go! Hard to believe, isn't it?
