The Potting Shed

Mr. Sweet and son, David, built a workshop, storage room and greenhouse...
all in one building, back in 2015.

Some call them greenhouses...
some of us call them
 potting sheds...
I love the term potting shed....it's much more romantic.

In 2015, father and son  embarked on THE BUILDING
and, boy, do we all love it.
I went out today (4/23/'18 )
to see how things were blooming out there.

...when I go out and see how pretty all the blooms look, I get sooo anxious to put them outside...

on the patio...
around the pool...

but we've been known to have a light freeze in April so we need to wait until the middle of May.

...this little pretty pink flower came up in the gravel on the ground
of the potting shed.....
probably from a seed dropping from a potted plant.

Everything is looking pretty good out there...
the geraniums are always so pretty...
and easy to grown.

I worked up an appetite  just looking .....

...back inside for a Broccoli Slaw Salad and fresh fruit.

Hope YOUR day is going good....

  13. Oh I am eager to see those little beauties get moved outside. You'll need to do a blog post on them when they settle in to their new spot! They are certainly doing well in their nice warm digs though! xxx J.

  14. I adore your potting shed and wish I had one. I know you will enjoy all of those beautiful flowers.

  15. God is so good sweet friend. Spring time. A time of renewal. I am always amazed at what survives the harsh winters. He is most definitely in control.

  16. What a wonderful potting shed that Mr Sweet made along with your son. I kow you think of him every time you look at it. The plants are doing great in there.

Have a wonderful rest of the week.

  21. I remember that “build” and the pictures . . .
Oh my, how fast things changed after that for Mr Sweet, and for you . . .. . .
    Memories . . .

I agree . . . “potting shed” is much more romantic than “green house!”

(Kind of like “garden house” is much more romantic” than “storage house.”)

  22. Yep, that's a potting shed if I ever saw one...who needs a green house anyway? LOL! There certainly is a lot of beautiful blooming going on in there!

  23. Love your potting shed! I actually got to work outside yesterday. The weather has been a little crazy in the midwest this spring!

  24. I think I recall when you posted about it's construction, amazing what something can look like in just a little time.

  25. The gift that keeps on giving! Loved seeing all the robust geraniums and the pretty flowers. I didn’t realize that you’d have to wait to mid-May. We must wait until after Memorial Day.

  26. B.J. I love your pretty little potting shed!! And all your flowers look so pretty and healthy. What a special place they built for you, and it now holds so many sweet sweet memories. Your home is so pretty and oh my goodness your backyard is so big!! Hope you are having a good week.

  27. I think I would put a comfy wicker chair with a cushion and a little table in the potting shed. Then I would call it my conservatory! It's beautiful with the gorgeous blooms and your snack plate looks delightful.

  28. I'am glad to read the whole content of this blog and am very excited,Thank you for sharing good topic.
