Are you kidding me..??

...this post is all about ICE CREAM and things related.....
We have had weather more like spring than the last part of February..
temps in the 80's makes us think of ICE CREAM...

Mr. Sweet and I love it...
he likes it more than I do......but......I like it.
He goes for plain Vanilla most of the time
but enjoys different toppings...
Last summer, I bought some cute ice cream bowls...

at PIER 1 during their end of summer sale...




 bright
pretty
big enuf

good for ice cream
cereal
beans
you name it...

I like the bright colors.


 I also picked up this large mug that holds just the right amount of ice cream, too.
"they aren't just for coffee and tea, ya know....:)

A SNACK BAR ON A TRAY...
and a cool tray at that.
I snagged this cutiePie tray at PIER 1 at the same end of summer SALE.
The neat jar holding PEANUTS was a 1/2 price item at Pier 1..
The large jar with "eat" on it came from Walmart...
The other 3 awesome jar canisters were bought at our local
flea market....$7.00 for the set of 3 and in PERFECT condition.

found it at GOODWILL
and knew in an instant that
DEEDS, our youngest grandgirl, would like it a lot.
She plans to hang it in her room at the lake house.
 Sorry, I keep getting off track here...
 Sooo, getting back to the meat of this post...


I found, online, a blog, Pinterest....just not sure where,
a recipe for
HOMEMADE HOT FUDGE SAUCE....
get outa town....
well...I HAD to try it.
I made only 1/2 this recipe and got a full pint jar.

 

It is a breeze to make...

and DELICIOUS.

 So out came the cute bowls,
Pretty much everyone that knows me for 15 minutes knows I love
CHOCOLATE
FUDGE
HOT FUDGE SUNDAES

I didn't have a cherry to put on top...BOO


this is so good, i can just eat it with a spoon...
the recipe again...


 do you see all that rich, chocolate luv down there in the bottom....
O HONEY

Now, since the Hot Fudge Sauce has no preservatives,
I need to figure out how to keep the jar from spoiling before we can eat it all..
We don't eat THAT much ice cream...
wonder if it freezes well...
I'll google.

    This reminds me of something that happened in school. In winter time those who sat outside would mostly migrate inside. Somebody was missing from the table and another person said where he was "leaning against a wall, without a jacket, eating ice-cream".

    Those bowls are just so much fun!! Enjoy your ice cream and hot fudge sauce. Thinking that is something I have to do again very soon we are out of chocolate sauce for our ice cream.

    I have a rhubarb topping I am putting on our ice cream at the moment, of course you really need vanilla ice cream or it just tastes a bit strange. The fudge one is a tryer as well I think.

    My favorite . . .
    Vanilla ice cream, homemade chocolate sauce, pecans, cherry . . .
    Now I need to get it out of my mind, too late for ice cream . . .

    How delicious! I sometimes make a melted Mars Bar sauce which is a bit similar, not sure if you have Mars bars in US?

    Hi BJ. Sounds like you're having a really nice winter there this year, just as we are up here in the northeast of Canada. I mean, it's still winter and cold and we get snow but it's much better than last year for sure! I love ice cream and sundaes too. I'll take mine with chocolate sauce and sometimes butterscotch sauce. It's nice to find a recipe for chocolate sauce which would be great to serve at a party then you don't have to worry about it spoiling. :) Have a great week! Pam

    I love your cheery bowls. Lately I've had an ice cream thing going too -- and that is NOT a good thing! But there's something about it -- comforting and delicious and cold and clean. Yum!

    This post is just so cheerful, bj! Of course with all the bright colors and ice-cream with homemade hot fudge... how can it not be? ;)

    I hope Mr. Sweet is feeling better and that his gout has gone away again. My brother has it and I know it's a miserable thing to have.

    BJ, I like vanilla ice cream too but it has to have a topping. My hubby likes flavours. Regardless, that chocolate sauce looks awesome! I make a caramel sauce myself but will have to try this chocolate too. I have those same little bowls only mine are in pastels. Thanks for sharing your tasty post with us.
