KEITH

I think a lot of us have/had a cousin that was extra special.
One that, when we were really little, we planned to MARRY some day.

I had one....
and his name was KEITH.
and...here I am with my handsome cousin.
The year....1956
All the time we were growing up, I told him I
wanted to marry him and for him to wait for me.
He was 11 years older than I.
He said, "Jeanie, I'll wait forever."
but......he didn't.:(
Of course, when I got older, I realized we could Never marry because
our kids would have been idiots ! Haaaaahahaha.
just jokin'....  actually, he was a 'cousin by marriage'.
and I loved him dearly...
STILL DO....he is living in England now.
******************************************************

The above is from a post I did a few years back.

I did indeed love this handsome cousin of mine.
I was 8 yrs old when my mama married the best step-dad ever born
and KEITH was his nephew.

Keith and the whole family treated me just like I'd been in their family forever....
I adored Keith....and so did my mom.

She named my little brother KEITH...
I named our son KEITH...
he named one of his daughters KEITH...

This is the last photo I have of him....he's with his little grandgirl.
He is 88 yrs old here and he just passed away a few weeks ago.
I am heartbroken...
and so sad that I couldn't attend his funeral to say goodby.
England is a long way from West Texas....
my heart and thoughts were there with his beautiful wife and daughter and family.

I will love him dearly until I die and then, I'll get to love him all over again
when I get to Heaven.

  24. I'm so sorry you lost your favorite cousin. And sorry you couldn't attend his service. I grew up thinking my slightly older cousin was the best guy in the world. He and I stay in touch but we don't see each other often enough. I'm blessed because I'm in Oregon and he is in California so it's possible once in awhile.

  25. Oh, what a sweet post, bj...and I love that photo of you and your cousin. I had an older cousin who I had a crush on too. He was several years older and when he was a teen and I was a little girl, I'd always show off when he was around...thinking I was impressing him! I remember being just a tad jealous when he marrie dhis wife...lol! Yes, you and your sweet cousin can certainly look forward to a grand reunion one day!

  27. Oh, BJ, so sorry for your loss, and I have a similar story. I have a cousin whom I love beyond measure. I don't think I ever wanted to marry him though, but I do love spending time with him and the fact that he always makes me laugh. Fortunately, I still can do that and hope that never changes..Happy Wednesday..Judy

So sorry but I have no other choice.
I love my blogging friends and most of all my family but these spam prone people are so rude and selfish have made my blogging not nearly as much fun..
