PINK is a color that can always bring a smile to my olden lips....
I don't have very much of the color in my house...
PINK stripes REALLY make me smile.
I had a PINK smoothie with breakfast this morning ♥ ♥ ♥
Deeds, our youngest grandgirl, taught me how to make one
and I LUV them.
This one was made with
blackberries
fresh strawberries
pineapple
coconut
plain yogurt
agave syrup for sweetness
splash of milk
ice cubes
♥
I love finding cute mugs in the thrift stores...
most I pay about 25 cents for.....
like this little PINK bunny cup...
he looks like he's been drinking coffee....see those drips on his nose and mouth.
I'm working hard at having better days...
just knowing our
Mr. Sweet is having
the kind of days that you and I can't even IMAGINE
how great
helps MY days to be better.
♥ ♥ ♥
Here's hoping YOU have
a good
IN THE PINK KIND OF DAY.
LOVE to all..... bj

ReplyDeleteThinking of you.
You are such an inspiration Bj. Hope you have many more "in the pink" kinda day's. ~ carol
ReplyDeleteI wore my favorite pink shoes to work yesterday - patent leather no less! I find that pink is like aromatherapy. It helps you feel pretty (: And pink foods are usually delish. Your smoothie looks perfect!
ReplyDeleteprobably my least favorite color - lol - there is very little around here!
ReplyDeleteSo great to see you posting. I will have a hard time finding pink around here, but you have inspired me to try. When I do, I will have a pink post too. Love the blackberry drink, we call them 'purple cows'. Also, I have been meaning to talk with you about your biscuits!! How the heck do you make biscuits?? Now, I am a Northern gal, so maybe making biscuits is not in my dna, but one of these day's if you would like to give a biscuit lesson I am in!!
ReplyDeleteNonie
So glad to see a post from you. Your smoothie looks so refreshing and pretty.
ReplyDeleteI could go for a biscuit with plum jelly right now. Looks so good.
You are such an inspiration. Blessings, Bonnie @livingthanksgiving
Praying for you, BJ. God bless you always.
ReplyDeleteSo glad that you are having a pink day and I hope many more to come. Love the pigs and cow pictures.

ReplyDeleteHappy Pink Tuesday!!! Pink makes me smile, too...and I love your cow picture and your pig picture. You would be right at home in WI!!! xo Diana
ReplyDeleteDarling pink pieces you have there, BJ. I guess most of the pink in my home is from flowers that make their way inside. Your pink smoothie sure looks delicious. And your biscuits always make my mouth water. Take of yourself. Sending hugs. ♥
ReplyDeleteOh those sweet little piggies brought a smile to my face. Always loved Wilber. So glad to see you posting sweet friend.
ReplyDeletePink is a happy color! I hope it brings a little happiness your way in this tough time you are going through. I was thinking of you today and bent God's ear on your behalf. Sending love...
ReplyDeleteI am glad to see you here and happy to hear you are working on having better days. I can't imagine how hard it is, but you are an inspiration. LOVE all your pink! Please post the recipe for the smoothie, it sounds great!
ReplyDeleteHello sweet BJ ... so good to see you back blogging. You have been on my mind so much and just hoping and praying that your days are getting better. So helpful to have the family close by for love and support. We are taking one day at a time now. Some days the road gets a little rocky, but somehow we get through it. Praying and sending hugs your way.
ReplyDeleteLove, Audrey Z.
What a joy to see things are getting a little back in the pink for you. Whatever it takes to make a day easier, go for it. You are going through one of the hardest losses ever, but so thankful Mr. Sweet did not suffer. Hang in and know others care.
ReplyDeleteLove the little pig picture so much. How sweet is that. I bet it brings a smile to your face. The smoothe sounds so yummy too. So happy to hear you are dealing with your grief in the best ways you can find. This was a huge loss and I always have said time does not make the pain of loss go away it just gives us ways to tolerate it better. I am keeping you in my prayers for more better days than not. Mr. Sweet is smiling down on you and right there trying to let you know he is so proud of the way you are going forward with the rest of your journey in life.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Prayers,
Love,
Kris
I can only imagine how hard these times are for you. But, remember there are so many of us out "here" that are thinking of you.
ReplyDeleteI love Pink also bj! Good to see you having some smiles. I know it's been a hard time for you but your faith is so strong you are an inspiration. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteYour pink bunny cup is so cute. You seemed to find a lot more pink than you originally thought. Sweet dreams dear BJ.
ReplyDeleteLoving your pinks dear BJ . That smoothie sounds yummy . I'm certain Mr. Sweets is having such a grand time with the King of Kings . I know you must him terribly . I think of you often and have prayed for you . Hugs and blessings , Cindy
ReplyDeleteLove the bunny cup . . .
ReplyDeletePinked up just fine!
I might try that smoothie recipe . . .
Thanks!
Miss Deeds must be a great gal - I love she gave you smoothie lessons. I make one most mornings with my fresh fruits and healthy additions as I have difficulty swallowing raw fruits. I use yogurt or kefir as my base. Toss in 1/2 tsp of turmeric, oat bran and chia seeds, an ice cube to chill - and of course there are many more things you might enjoy adding.
ReplyDeleteLove to see you here bj - think of you often.

My youngest nephew realized his dad didn't want him to say he liked the color pink. So he went around telling everyone it was his favorite color. He also roots for the other team in sports.
ReplyDeleteSo glad to see you posting! Thinking of you always, and yes-we've had alot of pink in our living room and I've been phasing it out to PURPLE NOW! lOL---loving purple.
ReplyDeleteI was coloring with my granddaughter today and she asked me, "Nana, what is your very favorite color?" I picked up a Dusty Rose colored pencil and told her that pink is my all-time favorite! I think of you more often than you know.
ReplyDeleteI love your Miss Deeds, she's a keeper.
ReplyDeleteI have the makings for smoothies with a protein powder everyone is recommending. Soon...I need the energy for sure. Yours looks enticing!
Love to you, my special lady...

I have been on a mug kick latley. I see so many at thrift stores and bargin shops that I want but have no room for. Love the hints of pink you discovered in those art pieces. Funny how it goes unnoticed until you want it and then it pops.
ReplyDeleteLisa
BJ so sorry for your loss. I have been away most of the summer and now I'm catching up. You are such an inspiration. Love your sweetness!
ReplyDeleteLove the bunny mug!! Not really a pink person here but my sister has a houseful of pink.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
I love to surround myself with pretty things that I love...just like you. I know how hard it is to make a new life...a different life. Sending you lots of sweet hugs, Diane
ReplyDeleteIt is so good to see you blogging again. This post was so cute. Have a blessed day. Madeline
ReplyDeleteAh, we can comment now! My heart goes out to you on the loss of Mr. Sweet. My Mr. is in advanced stage cancer so his time is short in this realm. We are not married so when he passes my world will be turned upside down.
ReplyDeleteAs an aside, I can't resist cute thrift shop mugs either ~
The pink is great ,I'm in a strange mood lately after I see your pigs and the pink,
ReplyDeleteI'm going to get up and do something
Maybe walk on my treadmill
Hope you find some sunshine today
Laura

Dear bj you are in my heart and in my prayers. You must go about your grief as only you can and you never have to apologize for speaking about it and sharing precious moments that you had with your Mr. Sweet. Pink is such a great color. Hugs!!

ReplyDeleteYou're always in my prayers, sweet bj! I just read your most recent post and I know the feeling so well of being single and widowed. I still cry about it! Yesterday was the four year anniversary of Rich's passing. I am glad that you got our with friends and then holding little Hudson. Yes, you need to take care of yourself, dear friend. Love to you!
ReplyDeleteHi bj, it's always good to see you with a smile on your face.

My youngest granddaughter would heartily agree with you about pink. She is five years old and her plans for the future include playing football at the school where her older brothers play. She says the helmets will be pink! And I'm sure they will!
