About a year or so ago,
the recipe for
BROWNIE IN A MUG
was floating around on blogs and Pinterest.
I made a couple and they were pretty good...
well...ONE was pretty good
and I think I had to throw the other in the trash.
Duncan Hines has come out with several
Cakes in a Mug,
including DECADENT BROWNIE
Well...just standing in the aisle looking at the box
made my CHOCOLATE LUV kick in so I brought a box of 4 servings.
...as hungry as I was for chocolate,
I hoped the mix would FILL THIS CUP...
(THAT would have been a gigantic brownie, hu ?)
....next time, I'll use a smaller cup or mug.
Absolutely DELICIOUS...
chocolaty....
moist....
and the perfect size for one.
if you decide to give it a try (and I hope you do),
be sure to follow directions on the packet TO A TEE...
and 55 seconds is PERFECT....
less would have made the little cake not quite done
and more
would have robbed all the moisture from the brownie.
I thank you for continued prayers for Mr. Sweet.
Have a fun and blessed weekend. xo
Looks yummilicious to me:) Prayers continue for you and Mr. Sweet! Sending HUGS and PRAYERS your way!
ReplyDeleteBJ, That does look good and sounds even better ...less than a minute to have something chocolate for a snack. Now you are talking to me.LOL I noticed the cup on the package was fuller.:):) I hold all of you in my prayers. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
ReplyDeleteI've never really liked brownies, but I do like fudge. Strange huh?
ReplyDeleteBrownie in a cup, sounds like a great answer for the call for a "chocolate fix!"
ReplyDelete(A handful of ghirardelli dark chocolate chips, does it for me!)
Everytime I go to Walmart, I will spend a long time looking at all these new mug desserts. There are so many different kinds to choose from that I end up not making a choice and walking away. Eventually Ill grab one. The confetti cake one seems to drive me near the loot but then its the Blueberry muffin or upsidedown pineapple cake that stumps me! Decisions decisions.

They really have made it easy to cook for one with so many products. Yes, praying right now for Mr. Sweet.
ReplyDeleteSounds delicious enjoy one for me. Prayers still continuing for Bill and you. Have a blessed day and a wonderful weekend. Madeline
ReplyDeleteIt's so glad to SEE your cheery voice this morning, and your description of that BROWNIE would have the advertising team at Duncan Hines knocking on your door! And your photos seem to capture the steam from that pretty PINK cup as the chocolate aroma rises above. What cravings that engenders, and I don't think my little pack of Intense Dark cubes that i dole out one a night would suffice right now. Yum
ReplyDeleteSo glad to know that Mr. Sweet is progressing so well---I think of you EVERY day, and wish you well and strong and happy. Hugs and Prayers right now.

Continuing in prayer for your Bill.......
ReplyDeleteI love chocolate but would have to make this gluten free! Continuing to pray for you and your husband.
ReplyDeleteI used to have my middle school students make these in mugs - some were soggy, others perfect, but they were always eaten up! Thinking of you and Mr Sweet often!
ReplyDeleteWe made a cake in a mug at work once. What can I say? It was a slow day.
ReplyDeleteI should try this and then I wouldn't be tempted to eat the whole pan of brownies!
ReplyDeleteOh yummy. You make them look extra yummy. Glad to see you around! I have been praying for my sissy
ReplyDeleteand Mr. Sweet. I wrote a post Monday about why I haven't been around. Basically intermitent (sp) internet. Can't stay on long enough to do anything. Today it's good. Go figure!
I am still here and thinking of you!
Have a wonderful weekend.

That might be just the way to go! I never liked the homemade ones...nasty the way I made them anyway. It may be my only pin that has a bad report.
ReplyDeleteAwhile back I saw that someone had given a mug and one of those brownie mixes as part of a gift. Isn't that a cute idea?
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for this great tip. I will be looking for it in the store. I hate when I make a batch and then I have to eat of all of them LOL Not good for my diet.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Mary
Hang in there BJ

ReplyDeleteI think I have seen these in stores up here. I am going to look and then give them a try.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.

I love that these single serving recipes have been developed. My worst enemy is the leftovers staring me down until I eat them. No leftovers is a GOOD thing!
ReplyDeleteOh these seem perfect for the Hot Texas days when you want to bake but don't want to turn on the oven. Yup Every day in summer around here. Which isn't good when you like to bake goodies for your family. Continued Prayers for your honey.
ReplyDeleteYum! What a sweet treat - and so convenient. I continue to pray for your dear hubby and for you. You are in my thoughts and on my heart much through these days.
