I love both of my Bunco groups.....
and we have such fun at both.
Both Bunco groups had parties the last week...
The first was a Salad Luncheon and Chinese Christmas ...
We each brought a salad and we sure had some amazing ones...
I took a Fresh Fruit Salad....
HAD to have whipped cream and the cans were much easier to transport than the big bowl of whipped goodness that I prefer...
A gift for the Chinese Christmas fun...
and even more fun...a $10 limit on the gift..
now, THAT was a challenge.
So many of the ladies "of a certain age" are widows and some on SS
so we keep the price way down.
I made little loaves of
PUMPKIN BREAD
for ea sweet lady...
and cookies...
Such beautiful fruits for December...
but...with greenhouses and such now,
we have good fruit year 'round.
I took lots of photos of our ladies....
our trees...
our gifts...
all the good salads, cheese balls and such...
and got home and realized I didn't have a card in my camera...
dayum !
Our 2nd Bunco Christmas Party was totally different as
they are much younger and just do things differently.
AND NO PICTURES....
When I got home, I realized I didn't take a pic one...
Here's a few of the gifts I received...
Several gift cards...
dinner...
massage...
clothes...
something for the house...
Can't wait to use the gift cards and will wait until AFTER Christmas
so I can enjoy them more..
I love these pretty earrings...
Homemade Amaretto Liqueur...
...lots of good things to use Amaretto in...
I think a splash of it is good in coffee....ummmm
My talented daughter made this amazing homemade laundry soap...
and packaged it so pretty.
(I shared it with you in a previous post...but here it is again..)
We had good food, fun gifts and the very best of friendship.
I will pick up our Christmas ham today ...

most of our family will be here Christmas Eve night
and I can hardly wait for those sweet people to be in
TOUCHING DISTANCE.....
I have good intentions of picture taking...
but I'm not promising anything....:)

Hello BJ, Wishing you and family Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteReally brilliant, thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteBJ, I am charging my camera battery right now. I know some times I just get so caught up in the moment and forget to take pictures. My kids all us their phones ...but I want camera pictures. With my camera so I can load them in my files to use as I please. LOL. I loved your salad. the gifts were wonderful. So kind of you to gift every lady with a bread and cookies. Love the soap, your daughter made, that's a special gift. Blessings to you and your loved ones for a merry Christmas. xoxo,Susie

Our bunco group quit doing the Christmas gift exchange a few years ago. I sure do miss it.
ReplyDeleteBunco groups are the best! We do a progressive through the neighborhood for our Christmas celebration. Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeletebj..thank you for your Christmas wishes and we send the same back to you and your loved ones..
ReplyDeleteRed. Well, yes, but at times I have felt in a "rut" but I just cannot let go of it. Do you reember back in the fifties when red was considered ..a color a bad woman wore? LOL Thought to be flash and cheap. Only in a plaid or some such thing was it at all acceptable. Times have really changed. I wanted to comment on your "plaid" post and got interupted..or did I??? I cannot remember what I had for breakfast! LOL
Merry Christmas, my dear friend..we are two very fortunate women.
God bless!
Mona
It looks like a great time and yummy fruit salad. I'm going to try to get together a Bunco group like you suggested to me a few years ago. Merry Christmas
ReplyDeleteSuch fun, bj, and yummy treats, goodies, and gifts. Merry Christmas blessings to you!
ReplyDeleteWow...lots of "girlfriend" fun!! Your salad photo made my mouth water!! And Amaretto liquor?? Did a recipe come with that - if so, I would love a copy so I can make some!! It is my fav during the holidays. I hope you enjoy Christmas and I wish you lots of joy with your family!!
ReplyDeleteOh dear! I have done it too, so disappointing when you think you have some wonderful photos!
ReplyDeleteLooks like so much fun! You got some nice presents!!
ReplyDeleteYour fruit salad looks so delicious - it doesn't even need the whipped cream. Well, a little wouldn't hurt!
ReplyDeleteThe fruit salad looked so yummy. I would have enjoyed some of it. Your Bunco parties sounded like a lot of fun. Enjoy Christmas Eve with your family. I will be celebrating with my family the day after Christmas. I will have 19 here at the house. I am so looking forward to having almost all my family here. Merry Christmas bj to you and all your family. Have a blessed evening. Madeline
