I am totally out of photos of cool fences or gates and, wanting to join TEX at her
GOOD FENCES
party, I went back years ago in my archives.
This was my
Pottery Barn
Christmas copycat wreath on my piece of vintage fencing.
A new fence at our olden house and my beautiful Rose of Sharon.

It's hard to even notice the fence in the background when
this adorable giraffes face was right up in my camera.
He was so cute, I wanted to give him a kiss but upon
closer inspection of his rubbery lips,
I changed my mind and just gave him a pat on that cute head.

A cute potting bench up against the olden fence that came down for the new one.
Mr. Sweet's old, rusted hammer, hanging between 2 knotholes on
a REALLY weathered fence.
One of my favorite photos....:)
I found this PINK fence and house on the net..
isn't it just dreamy...
and wouldn't it be downright FUN to live in such a fantasy place...?
Here's a
Lemon Lime drink,
just for you...
and there's that olden, weathered fence behind it.

Sorry that I don't remember the recipe for this drink...
could be just ice water with lime slices...

"I never expected anyone to take care of me, but in my wildest dreams and juvenile yearnings, I wanted the house with the picket fence from June Allyson movies. I knew that was yearning like one yearns to fly."
I agree...great picture of hammer and fence.
ReplyDeleteLove the wreath:) I saw it in my sidebar and it made me smile! Have a blessed day dear B.J. HUGS!

No matter when these shots were taken they are new to most of us and are very fitting. I have a rose of Sharon, but not this big. I love them. Stay cool. I aaw your area was at a 100 today, but we are 108 with heat index of 115. Baby, it is HOT in Fort Worth.
ReplyDeleteOh I loved this one! That hammer on the fence was the perfect shot. . .but you've made me think to note fences I might have in shots with the one you pointed out behind the giraffe! Have a good day!! Hugs, J.
ReplyDeleteKnow what caught my eye??? The old parking meter, in front of that adorable pink house/fence.
ReplyDeleteDo they still have such parking meters today? Oh I suppose so. But I obviously haven't seen one in a long time. For it to catch my eye, like that. ,-)
Happy summer hugs,
Tessa

Hello BJ, wonderful series of fence photos. I love the rose of sharon. And the owl on the fence is so cute! Enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteWell the Christmas wreath on the fence is my favorite. The old rusty hammer is pretty cool too.
ReplyDeleteAnn
That Christmas wreathing on the fence is simply gorgeous. I was going to say a fence for every season until I saw that pink house...not sure what season that would be...Valentine's Day maybe? Great photos. bj!
ReplyDeleteYou did a great job finding fences to share. The hammer on the fence is a great shot and that house you found is certainly different. Not exactly my "cup of tea" color wise but fun none the less.
ReplyDeleteJean I love all the fence pics. We have lots of fencing to add at the farm and one to finish that separates the dogs from the kids play area and I have lots of things to add to it to make it pretty. Thanks for the ideas and the drink looks so good.

What a woonderful assortment of lovely fences but my favourite is the one with the hammer.
ReplyDeleteBJ!!! I was so pleased to see that you stopped by to give me a biggo Texan Howdy!! It's been a long time. I enjoyed your array of photos....the wreath, the rose of sharon 'tree' is absolutely mind boggling. Thanks for the refreshments. Hits the spot on such a hot afternoon.
ReplyDeleteThat pink picket fence just tickles me!
ReplyDeleteBig Texas Hugs,
Susan and Bentley
I remember the giraffe at the zoo in Columbia SC being very anti-people. Unless they had lettuce it would eat
ReplyDeleteBJ, I am loving your header. It's perfect! I enjoyed the lovely fences you shared, too. One of these days, I may join up with Good Fences because I see so many fun fences all around Pennsylvania.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy your blog so much and every time I visit you, there are so many more fun things to see. Have a wonderful rest of the day... :)
Ah.....Bj...I love the header. Totally awesome! You sure have a lot of lovelies here today.....my favorite being the hammer and fence! and then of course...there is the pink house and fence! Something you don't see everyday!

Anyway loved you post. XXOO
A great variety of fence shots!
ReplyDeleteWonderful fences!
ReplyDeleteAs a child I had days I tried to fly. Ah, what a dream. LOL
As much as I love the pink house and pink fence, I'm not sure if I'd want to live there. I love the giraffe though!!! My mushy red a giraffe when she was 1 and the thing wrapped its tongue around her hand at least 4 times!
ReplyDeleteIt was really fun to scroll through all your lovely images! I did love the pink house and fence...what a great surprise for a Pink Saturday post!
ReplyDeleteI'd say you have some pretty good archives -- and a good hand with your copycat wreath!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun post for Pink Saturday. I love the old vintage house that's pink. And oh, those giraffes are so cute. Have a blessed and beautiful week!
