...i yi yi..yi..

Happy Spring, ya'll .
We are having lots of rain....wind...
Wind blows almost every day out here on the Plains of West Texas.

This is a pretty cool fence around the COOLEST shop..
COYOTE CANDLE COMPANY
and it has 40,000 sq. feet of the most interesting things you've ever seen.
...furniture
...candles (duh)
...the best selection of clay pots I've ever seen...
and waaaay too much to list....
just about anything you'd want.

"Some folks look at me and see a certain swagger, which in TEXAS, is called 'walking.'"
George W. Bush

I love our state of TEXAS

and I love George W. Bush....!!!!!

"I yi yi yi....I am the Frito Bandito....♪♪♪

This tall, metal,
guitar-playing fella greets customers at the gate.

I hate to be rude here.....but
this guy looks just like a MONKEY.
 *

It all makes for a really fun fence and gate....
and if you close your eyes and listen hard, you may hear a little
Mexican music, strummed on that cute metal guitar.

Pink Sat.

(not sure if this is my photo or not...)

OUESADILLAS are one of my VERY FAVORITE MEXICAN FOODS....
They are so delicious with sour creme, avocado salad, even dipped in RANCH DRESSING...
Spread a little SALSA on them and you will be in
Mexican Food Heaven
..
There's really no RECIPE for Quesadillas...
a large flour tortilla, grilled with butter,
spread grated CHEDDAR, MONTERREY, MEXICAN BLEND ...whatever
cheese you like the best...
We like the Sharp Cheddar and Mexican blend together...
you can add anything your heart desires at this point..
chilies, hot sauce, refried beans... anything you like.
We generally just use the cheese and then
DIP...DIP...DIP
XOXO

  1. What a blessing everyone does not like the same people and food. Iwill take the Bandito and food without sour cream.

  3. Quesidillas...love them! And I love GWB, too. Didn't know that you were getting rain every day. That's good if you're catching up on the years of drought. You know that you remain our Rain Gauge Girl.

  4. I hope things dry out a bit in TX soon, it would be nice if you could send some west, I hear they need it:@) That's a very nice fence and quesadillas always sound good!

  6. Hi, There is a store in Tubac Arizona that is just like this one-so fun, but so many of the outside pieces would not work here in Colorado.
    Thanks for sharing!

  8. I had quesadiillas for supper - yum, yum! We are so thankful for all of the rain we have been getting here in arid Colorado. Know you are happy about your rain, too --- but that wind, we can do without! Have a good week. Sally

  21. I like George W. Bush, too. And I think the weather there and the weather here is pretty much the same. And that fence is definitely a TEXAS fence. And forget the quesadiillas. I'll take a large side of that guacamole, tho!

  22. Ya for the Bandito's fence, he is not a cute fellow is he. I like Bush. You have me thinking its time I went to our Mexican restaurant again. I like going there for the buffet.

  24. I like your whole blog scrolling down fences and your Tex State. I am a Canadian but I like G.W. .Bush too. He amazes me how he will bike ride along with all the military once a year who have been injured and have disabilities. Great man Bush is. I like his wife also.

  26. Hi BJ,
What a fence you got there at the Coyote Candle Company! I love seeing the Texas Star on things. I brought one thing back from Texas and that is our bird feeder with the star on it - and, it is made in Texas - not elsewhere!
Thanks for stopping at my site.
Now, after visiting your blog, I am suddenly hungry - wonder why :)
    Have a Beautiful Day!
    Peace :)

  28. Fun post, bj. I love GWB and really miss him. He has more class and common sense in his little finger than...well, you know what I'm thinking! I love quesadillas, too. Yum! Now I'm hungry for lunch. But my little kittens that are taking up all my time lately need bottle feeding again before I can eat...so I better scoot along.

  29. All the Texas Stars are great but I've got to say that Mexican singer greeting you at the fence is so fun. I laughed about the (monkey) comment. - The food looked yummy.

  31. Now I am hungry, BJ, because I love quesadillas and guacamole. My mom took my four year old niece to the park, and she took a photo and said, "do you know who this is?" I didn't recognize the person, but I did when she told me. It was Barbara Bush taking her weekly walk with her walker in the park. One of my sisters lives in Texas. Thanks for the visit on my pin bowl post. xoxo Su

  32. What a fun place to shop, we have something like that near Wimberley, but I doubt it's that big! Love GWB and Laura, classy couple. And absolutely nothing *not* to love about quesadillas! I make them with quesadero (a Mexican white cheese) and cooked shrimp, and serve with mango salsa - mama mia it's delicious (and almost elegant, lol). Now I'm hungry and off to find food. Happy Thursday!

  33. BJ, I love Texas as well! We have a shop in Fredericksburg that also has those great metal structures. Great fence entry for the Good Fences.
