Something new for my kitchen....

and....
I'm in LUV.

I've wanted one for a long time...

Browsing thru ACE HARDWARE
the other day, I found these on sale and I was tickled to death...

and one went right to the SUMMER HOUSE with me.

...I do love this super-sized coffee cup from daughter...

I bought a couple of boxes of coffee pods.....
CREME BRULEE is delicious.

Folgers has always been good....

but I couldn't find DUNKIN DONUTS COFFEE PODS at the store I was at.
I know they make them, too......

"Breakfast is a big deal....I love it !"

(i love BEFORE & AFTERS)

For breakfast, along with that first cup of
Creme Burlee,
I made those little POCKET BISCUITS I love so much.

Sunlight and Shadows...

“When you wake up in the morning, Pooh," said Piglet at last, "what's the first thing you say to yourself?"
"What's for breakfast?" said Pooh. "What do you say, Piglet?"
"I say, I wonder what's going to happen exciting today?" said Piglet.
Pooh nodded thoughtfully. "It's the same thing," he said.”

       SOOO GOOD !

“Breakfast! My favorite meal- and you can be so creative. I think of bowls of sparkling berries and fresh cream, baskets of Popovers and freshly squeezed orange juice, thick country bacon, hot maple syrup, pancakes and French toast - even the nutty flavor of Irish oatmeal with brown sugar and cream. Breakfast is the place I splurge with calories, then I spend the rest of the day getting them off!

OH....and I am still using my laminated place mats (Susan Branch calendar pages)
even with my new black/white checked cloth...
just makes sense....:>)

...so much snow in so many places.

  5. Have I told you lately that I ADORE visiting you blog? I always feel like I am sitting down with an old friend and admiring whatever she has to show me My daughter loves her Keurig, too. I like my big ol' Bunn where I can run a pot through on demand and then I pour it into a thermal pot to keep it hot all day.
    Your breakfast looks delicious!
I don't know if I ever heard that Piglet & Pooh conversation before. I LOVE it..so cute.

  10. I don't suppose they would have them out on the shelf's to sell if they were in the recall. Just to let you know so you can check it out. I want to try those biscuits. Breakfast is my meal of the day.

  11. Love my Keurig. Have had it for years now and would not do without it. However regular coffee is good enough for us along with the occasional hot chocolate or hot cider.

    God bless.

  12. I love the Anthony Bourdain quote :-) I'll be watching him tonight for three hours, and flipping to the Oscars of course. Our office has the Keurig and they really enjoy the convenience.

  13. I'd love to live close enough to you to eat breakfast with you! Your food has beaucoup presentation! I love Winnie the Pooh; I even have a Pooh book from Poland, bought for me when son & daughter-in-law were there some years ago.

  14. My kids gave me one of those coffee makers sometime ago. I love it, but wish it had been one of the smaller versions out now. There is not many coffees I have not tried. Sams is a good place to buy it. I do not have a Sam's card, but my family does.

  15. Your breakfast looks yummy, but I would enjoy it more towards brunch time. I like many breakfast foods - just don't want them when I first get up.
Have thought about getting a "K", but have limited counter space, and need the regular coffee maker when others are here.

  17. Oh my, your breakfast biscuits look delicious! What a great idea! I love my Keurig too, I am addicted to coffee. Wishing you a happy day and week ahead!

  18. Those biscuits breakfast things look so yummy!! They are really making my instant oatmeal look bad. Haha

My favorite Keurig coffee pods are Tullys Hawaiin Blend. It's strong enough to give a good kick and light enough to not give you agita (sp?). It's also really smooth. Besides, if all else fails, just add french vanilla creamer. Everything tastes better with creamer. Hahaha

  19. Here it is 6 a.m. and I haven't had breakfast yet, now I'm really hungry! Bought my Keurig last year and love it. I buy donut shop coffee it is good.
Love your tall cup, I have a couple that size.
Have a great day, Bj !

  20. What a cheery way to start the morning. The calendar pages look perfect with their bold graphics against the tablecloth. A feast for the eyes! Then you go and whip up biscuits and bacon and cheddar...hmmmmm. I love the bustle of making breakfast for a crowd and, every year or two, I actually do that! There are so many beverages for the Keurig...hot chocolate and hot apple cider and tea...wish I had one! Hope that you find Erin!

  21. I always love visiting BJ! You certanly serve up a delicious looking breakfast! Great find on the coffee mug too! Have a lovely week!

  22. We try various flavoured coffees in our Keurig, anything with chocolate in the name is yummy.
Your filled breakfast biscuits are a sight for sore eyes as I haven't eaten yet. I love it when you share food BJ, it's usually something different than what we're used to in Ontario. I did remember seeing posts from bloggers about Old Bay seasoning and purchased it to have on fish last night and we liked it. I'll be buying some to take home with us!
Thanks for linking to Mosaic Monday.

  25. Kohl's, Staples and Bed, Bath and Beyond often have good deals on coffee. I totally love my Keurig and have been to Starbuck's very few times since getting it. I just know you're going to love that thing, too. I bought mine just before CHRISTmas a few years ago. I wanted it for CHRISTmas morning - so everyone could have the hot drink of their choice. I started using it and then went out and bought another one for my parents and I think they love theirs every bit as much as I love mine. It's probably the best gift I've ever given them.

  26. We love our Keurig, too, BJ! But, good gosh, you are such a tease with your food photos. You always have something tempting when I pop in. These pictures are so mouthwatering...lol!

  27. Our son gave up a Keurig and I love it. Great when the house is full and everyone just selects their favorite flavor and makes their own cofffee. Also great for that cup of decaf in the late afternoon on a cold day. Your breakfast looks delish..............

  28. We'll hooray for you and your new Keurig, bj! I'm not a coffee drinker, but those that love coffee seem to love their Keurig. Some of my friends use coupons to Bed, Bath and Beyond to get their pods.
You're breakfast looks fabulous and I love your laminated calendar placemats and the quote from Susan Branch...oh and Pooh and Piglet, too.
Our schools are closed today and I'm staying indoors! How're you in west Texas?

  30. Scrolling through your post and seeing those delicious looking pocket biscuits reminded me how hungry I am!! We are enjoying our Keurig, too.

  31. Hi BJ: You are going to love that coffee maker. We started out our Keurig journey with the very small, one cup one. Then we got the big one for two different sizes of cups and a water vessel on the side. We took the little one to the motorhome. Maybe my taste buds are changing but the big one seemed like the coffee was weaker so we brought the little back and it seems like the coffee is stronger but it takes a lot longer to heat up. We have been buying Starbucks pods, Pike Place. It is great coffee but a little pricey. I think I'll give Folgers a try. I used to drink that all the time back in the day..Your biscuits look yummy and your photos of food always are so pretty. I can't take pictures of food to save my life..Happy Monday..Judy

  32. And, P.s. your beautiful background looks pretty enough for upholstery..J

  33. Those cheesy biscuits are calling my name. Yum! We have had a Keurig for a while now and to be honest I just started using it. Those pods are expensive! We ended up getting a reusable thingamajiggy so we can use our own bulk coffee. I have to admit, I love the convenience :>)

  34. BJ,
    I LOVE your new Keurig!!!
    I use mine most everyday!!!
I agree with your quote from Anthony Bourdain,
""What nicer thing can you do for somebody than make them breakfast ?"
My breakfast of choice. . .
Silver dollar sized pancakes with butter, sprinkling of powdered sugar,
maple syrup topped with a dollop of whipped cream and garnished with blueberries!!!
Add orange juice and black coffee and I'm one happy Lady, indeed!!!
Hm~m~m. . .wonder if I could get "Mr. Ed" to read this post???
Enjoy brewing in your newest find!!!
    Fondly,
    Pat

Congrats on your new Keurig! Breakfast is also my favourite meal of the day, and you've listed some very delicious examples. Coupled with that first steaming cup of coffee, and the day always looks good! Your cheddar cheese/bacon pockets look scrumptious!
