This is the beautiful LAKE ISABEL
in San Isabel, Colorado
The aspen trees are so beautiful up there on that high mountain..
the leaves fluttering in the light breeze makes a beautiful sound.
Lovely flowers every where we looked...
and such bright colors.
First a nice path....
Then these stone stairs that were a lot easier going DOWN ....
than climbing back UP.....
*huff...puff
This log had a name carved on it...
bet it was his girlfriend's.......♥ ♥ ♥
Can you make out what the name is ??
There's something special and extra beautiful about a
MOUNTAIN LAKE.
(I look like I'm having to hang on to that rail because I'm out of breath from climbing those stairs....about 3 times...:>)
Aren't the reflections beautiful here.
hahhaa...
we had such a great time on our vacation.
We don't go on many trips...
so when we DO get to take a week off, we enjoy every single minute of it.
Thanks for letting me share our photos of this beautiful lake.
I'm afraid I have a few more vacation photos that I must add to this
BLOG JOURNAL of mine.
For the future generation, don't ya know. :)
GOOD FENCES THURS.
TIME TRAVEL THUR
Keep them coming, bj! Our blogs keep our minds sharp or at least that serve as a mind journal so we can remember where we were yesterday...
ReplyDeleteLovely photos of you and Mr. Sweet!
Enjoyed the photos - our church goes sledding in the winter at the lake, which is a different kind of beauty. Have you been there in the winter? Sally
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos..looked like an amazing time! (I couldn't make out that name!;)
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Gert

ReplyDeleteLooks like such fun! Eliam? Liam? Eniam? It is hard to make those letters out!
ReplyDeletethe letters are too faded for me to see

Beautiful pics. Thanks for sharing your vacation. I miss Colorado. It is a beautiful place. We got to live there for awhile. Some of my favorite times. There is so much to see and do. Praying a continued safe trip for you.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing.
What a nice vacation. No vacations for us..we seem to be on a permanent vacation. I'm feeling a bit of a need to get away though. Howard is not one to want to travel much anymore. So we don't. At this age I thought I would be in our little motor home just seeing the sights. One never knows what the future holds..
ReplyDeleteIt was fun looking at your photo's. I think our window for taking long driving trips are over. A trip to San Diego for a wedding and I as on the edge of my seat the entire way. lol
Such beautiful pictures. I can almost hear the leaves fluttering and the reflection in the lake is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteLook forward to seeing more vacation photos. Glad you had a nice visit.

ReplyDeletethose mountains are gorgeous. i love the wildflowers. so pretty. have fun!!! ( :
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful! I love seeing your vacation.... I think Ceekay is right. Maybe those are initials with a plus sign... Wonder how many kids that couple has now... Wouldn't it be funny if she reads your blog. My ex husband carved my name beneath a picture on a rock in California... It was a big chieftan... Kinda hokey to think of it now with all that's gone by.... But he meant well... Hugs
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos, BJ, of a gorgeous mountain oasis! What a stunning forest, thick and green and fragrant, I'm sure, of pine and cedar, and just as mysterious! Thanks for sharing and have a great week!
