Icy Pie, Tiny Thrift, and a MAGAZINE WINNER

In the GOOD OLE SUMMERTIME,
we LOVE keeping a frozen pie in our freezer.

We like EDWARDS FROZEN KEY LIME
or LEMON....

On a really hot day and I sure don't want to
"fire up" the oven,
it's really great to have one of these pies in our freezer.

The tiny round toile tray this piece of pie is on is one that I found at
♥♫
GOODWILL  ♥♥♫
...just playing around in PHOTOSCAPE, using their PUZZLE feature....
...the little  .50 CENT  tray looks cute here...
but....
it looks even cuter with my cold slice of
LEMON with WHIPPED CREAM pie....

Do ya'll keep a frozen treat during the summer that you don't eat a lot of in the wintertime...??

Hope you are having a good summer so far....
Time Travel

O, and I saw this awesome
over at the
TUMBLEWEED CONTESSA's
place and I used to make this a looong time ago...
then forgot it and now, here it is for me to make again.

This is an easy dessert that is so delicious, you better cut your hungry self  2 big pieces....
it will save you from having to lay down your COUNTRY LIVING MAGAZINE, get up from your comfy chair, walk all the way over to the kitchen counter and cut another slice....
Yes, ma'am....if you like Strawberry Cake, you will love this one forever and ever, Amen. :)

When you go over for her recipe, would you tell her bj sad HEY ?  thanks!!

The winner of the COUNTRY LIVING MAGAZINE subscription is.....

GERT
of
Gert.Tom and Rusty, too.

Congrats, Gert...
I'll send you an email asking for your mailing address, then, I'll fill in your
10-issue, 1 year FREE subscription
to Country Living Magazine.

HAPPY DAY....

XOXO, bj

  1. I usually like to have something sweet and cold in the freezer, this year I'm on a low carb diet, so no frozen pie for me!

  7. The Sweets look wonderful . . . I try to not keep the sweet things in the house because I can't stop with one bite, one piece or one cookie. I will keep it in mind though . . . Congrat's Gert . . .

  11. Congratulations to Gert upon winning the subscription...I know she will truly enjoy it. I like looking at that magazine but my stuff is all French, so I didn't enter. I knew someone else would appreciate it more, even though I do pick it up whenever I'm in Walmart, just to look through it.

Your luscious desserts are always so tempting, BJ. I wish my DH wasn't diabetic...I'd try making every single one.

    Hugs,
    Rett

  15. No frozen pie here although it looks scrumptious. I do make popsicles for the grand littles and we enjoy them too - fruit and yogurt in a blender - yummy.
