It's true....SPRING IS ALMOST HERE !
There's no COLOR around the yard here at the Summer House yet...
sooo...
I am still relying on FAUXS.
This little breakfast this morning isn't FAUX, tho...
Take 4 little leftover croissants...
Split them open
and add yumminess..
ahhh....buttered and cheezed bread is HEAVEN....
add a glass of orange juice...
a little bowl of Sugar Free jello with peaches...
The person that invented CINNAMON sure knew what he/she was doing !!
...a favorite cup of coffee.
...what a SIMPLE breakfast to be sooo GOOD ! :)
One that will stay with you 'til noon.
COLOR...
it's helped get me thru this cold winter.....

Yep, I could use a little color here too BJ! And I mean besides the white Mother Nature keeps giving us:@)
ReplyDeleteWell it sure looks good. You always have the most delicious breakfasts. Love the flowers with your breakfast even if they are faux.

Yummy! I started a new linky party called Tasty Tuesday and it is up and running right now. I would love it if you would link this post to it!
ReplyDeleteThank goodness!!!! I have two tiny flowers on a ground cover by the gazebo......hope this last freeze hasn't done them in!! We have had some seriously WINTER weather this year!!
ReplyDeleteLove your SPRING thoughts!!
Your breakfast looks yummy. Yes spring is on the way we just have to be patience. Have a blessed evening. Madeline
ReplyDeleteYour breakfast looks delicious. I am waiting impatiently for spring.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great looking little pickup breakfast. Love it, bj. I'm with you- I can't wait for Spring and a bit of color! xo Diana
ReplyDeleteOh BJ, I'm so hungry for your breakfast now! Looks scrumptious! Spring...I can't wait!
ReplyDeleteYour breakfast looks so yummy! I am ready for the color to come back too!
ReplyDeleteIt looks delicious, and I'm with ya about the color... faux real. I just need some around me right now. Fortunately, I can look out the window and see my tulip magnolias blooming. I need to whack off a branch and bring them in.
ReplyDelete(And as to your comment about the copy cat challenge? Yes! Let's conspire to bug Debbie about doing one. Just the jump start some of us need.)
I am hanging on and looking forward to some color around my house:) Enjoy your day dear friend, HUGS!
ReplyDeleteI'm nibbling a fresh baked (thanks to Trader Joe) almond croissant this morning - so cold outside but the covering of frozen sleet from yesterday starting to thaw now the sun is shining thankfully.
ReplyDeleteColor needed soon - my daffodils bent over just as they opened yesterday before the storm, hopefully they will perk up again - yellow certainly is bright and welcoming!
"Roll on Spring" is our mantra these days - such an endless winter!
Mary
I just turned my back to the window full of snow and concentrated on this colorful post; It made me warm for a while...and HUNGRY!

Beautiful posts, but I'm afraid there wouldn't be any croissants left over at my house. I made them for lunch this past Sunday and the children fight over them. I'll have to try this for hubby and myself one morning, would go good with a cup of Tea.
ReplyDeleteBring Spring on!
Refreshing how bj can take "4 little leftover croissants" ... and make a beautiful and colorful breakfast. She is a true 'breakfast artist'.
ReplyDeleteLove the picture of the grands too.
Blessings,
Audrey Z. @ Timeless Treasures
Your croissants look so good! I can't wait for all the spring flowers to bloom either. It's one of my favorite times of the year. We should have bluebonnets soon...
ReplyDeleteI'm there in spirit ...partly for the cheery upbeat attitude, partly for those awesome pops of color... And I'm not gonna lie, partly for the breakfast! Lol!
ReplyDeleteThe one with the cheese and butter sounds the best. :D
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing the pretty flowers Another dreary, bitter cold day here. :/
Hope you are having a great week.
I'min NYC thisweek and it is colder here than in Colorado! I love cinnamon....one of my favorite sites!
ReplyDeleteEverybody sure is wanting spring to arrive but here in AZ we have not even had winter. Finally had a bit of rain over the weekend. It's been hanging out in the 80's since Christmas...ugh! Anyway, hope spring arrives for you soon and thanks for stopping by my blog :) Also, congrats on 53 years of marriage, that is awesome!! My hubby passed just before our 30th, I sure was hoping for more!!
ReplyDeleteAmazing how something as simple as bread and cheese, or bread and cinnamon sugar can be so good! I am just dying for spring to get here but we still have several feet of snow on the ground. It's supposed to hit 40 Friday and I'm just beside myself with joy.
ReplyDeleteAren't those little fruit cups good! I love them. And I buy the sugar free, too. Did you know that there are a lot of good health benefits in using cinnamon? And it's yummy and smells sooo good!
ReplyDeleteBreakfast is probably my favorite meal of the day. It's interesting all of the health benefits of cinnamon that's they've found. Who knew.
