TRACI at FISHTAIL COTTAGE is hosting a
COTTAGE CHRISTMAS PARTY.
I hope YOU joined in...
I'm sure going.
OK,
VINTAGE COTTAGE MANTEL....
all decked out for Christmas.
...very COUNTRY...
very COTTAGE
very LOVED.
Stacy bought these remote control candles for me for THANKSGIVING.
They fit right into the brass candle holder I found on the clearance table at ROSS
a couple years ago.
My very favorite SANTA in the whole wide world
is standing majestically on one end of the mantel...
My Pottery Barn knock-off
wreath is resting in the middle of the mantel...
soon to be moved to hang on a mirror.
I'm trying the CHRISTMAS TREE art that I found at HOBBY LOBBY
....no sure yet which I will use.
I tweak from the time I put my Christmas decos out until
CHRISTMAS EVE NIGHT.
My FATHER CHRISTMAS bought several years ago while
shopping with a dear, life long friend, stands on the other end of the mantel.
I think of my friend, Alice every time I get Father Christmas out....
just another sweet memory.
"Hi, Alice....love you, girl. "
The little chalkboard look-alike
that I made last year is nestled up beside Father Christmas......for now.
I have 14 more stockings hanging ....
for another post...:))
I wish you all the most WONDERFUL CHRISTMAS, ever !
Thanks for coming by.....
and thanks, TRACI, for having this COTTAGE CHRISTMAS PARTY.
I sure had fun.
XOXO, bj

It makes me happy just to see it! Love that handsome Santa! Bring on those stockings...
ReplyDeleteYour decorations are beautiful. The mantle is lovely!
ReplyDeleteJust perfect! So festive and pretty - enjoy all your wonderful decorations during the holidays
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful mantel! Your Santa is wonderful! I did a Santa themed mantel this year, but haven't blogged about it yet. I'm really swamped right now!
ReplyDeleteDidn't watch Bonnie and Clyde after seeing the trailer. After reading Go Down Together, I knew it would be really wrong! It's hard to get a sexy thriller out of people basically homeless on the run. My interest has to do with the car they were ambushed in. My father was about 10 at the time it happened, and that car was towed all over Texas and Oklahoma to show how the law finally got em. Dad remembered it was on a trailer, as the tires had been shot out, and that the back seat was full of bloody clothing. I saw the same car 60 years later at Whiskey Pete's Casino. They replaced the tires, and the shattered windows and seats were covered in plastic, but otherwise left as was. A sad bit of American history.
ReplyDeleteHi BJ, Your home is getting to look very festive and beautiful. I won't decorate with hubby in the nursing home and I will spend Christmas at my daughter's with family. I didn't watch Bonnie and Clyde. Have a wonderful day. Take care stay warm and safe. Hugs and Prayers from Your Missouri Friend.
ReplyDeleteOh, I just love that Santa! He looks so gorgeous on your mantel! Everything looks pretty, bj.
ReplyDeletebj- That looks just wonderful. Everything you do always has such a cheery feel to it. Homey, warm and welcoming. LOVE your Santa! I kept just a couple of my own but gave most of the collection to my kids- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteHi Bj I love all your decorations, they are beautiful but where is Elf?

ReplyDeleteYour mantel looks so pretty, BJ! I love both your Santa's.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! Love your mantel! Enjoy your day dear friend, HUGS!
ReplyDeleteEverything looks so beautiful! I love this time of year. And I haven't been to see anyone's blogs this week until today. We've been busy. I'll be posting pictures when I can but Weston was born Monday morning! He wasn't breathing so it was a rough first day, but he's doing good now. Should be moved from the NICU to a regular room today and may go home tomorrow or Friday. Prayers went up and were answered! Praise God!
ReplyDeleteYour mantel looks great. I really like both of the Santa's. Have a blessed day, hope it has warmed up some out your way. We had frost this morning and it was cold but is going to get up to 55 degrees . I plan on staying indoors and baking more gingerbread cookies. Have a blessed day. Madeline
ReplyDeleteChristmas in your new home is looking beautiful and festive, BJ. I do love your Father Christmas.

BJ, your mantel is gorgeous! I was thinking about watching Bonnie & Clyde and I completely forgot. I guess it is just as well. :-)
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely evening.
Very festive BJ. Happy Holiday.
ReplyDeleteBj, Your mantel is so darn sweet in every detail. I still have to do mine. I am so late decorating this year. Sigh. I love the theme and the Santas with the fenced in candles. That's you my sweet sister friend. An original.
ReplyDeleteLove you,
Jeanne
