It's a FAMILY Tradition

Every Christmas time, some of
our grandgirls (and sometimes, a fella or two) get together at my house
for some good old-fashioned fun...
decorating Christmas Cookies.
Some of the past
COOKIE Making and Decorating....

This little SANTA has always been one of
my favorite ornaments...

I've had him so long, I don't remember where I got him. He is actually a
door knob hang.

The above cookies were Chocolate Chip and Cranberry Pecan....
soooo good

 2015...
Our sweet twins,
Andrea and Bailey

This is Brynna and Deeds...
we did
Ugly Sweater Cookies that year

These Candy Cane cookies are sooo tasty but not all that pretty.

 Three little silly grands
that are all grown up now.

2017
O WHAT FUN

That's Ethan, Lacey's husband,
and he is holding the cutest little puppy.....

 His name is BAXTER
and he belongs to our daughter and we are ALL
OBSESSED with him.

 "Hi, Lacey Jean"

 "Hi, Deeds and Brynna"
That's our sweet and handsome son, DAVID KEITH..
He decorated cookies with us and I was so glad.

...and here is our beautiful and sweet girl
STACY LEIGH

There were 12 of us..
some had to leave early before we thought to get a group picture...

What a treasure these beauties are...
5 of the 7 grandest girls.
What gets me is that they are ALL beautiful
and all good COOKIE DECORATORS...

I am so happy these beautiful people like coming to
our house every year about this time to
do Christmas cookies and just enjoy being together.

We all have our hearts full of love for one another...
and for this, I am thankful.

Knowing Mr. Sweet is going to celebrate Christmas
walking and talking with Jesus Christ
also makes me very thankful.

LOVE, HUGS AND KISSES,
bj

  10. You have been on my heart and in my prayers much through this first Christmas season without Mr. Sweet. Knowing he is in the presence of the Father is such a comfort - but it doesn't make the empty place go away. Sending hugs to you, dear friend.

All the cookies look yummy and what a great tradition to have the grands come to decorate and bake with you. Very sweet. May you find peace in your heart and some joy this Christmas with your family. I know it is hard without Bill but I know he will be with all of you in spirit. Hopefully near the cookies of yours that he loved so much. Merry Christmas sweet friend.

  15. Your family IS beautiful, bj...each and every one of them. Not that looks are that important but I know they are beautiful people inside, too, where it really counts.
I didn't get to bake any Christmas cookies this year so I am feeling a little bummed about that...but there is always next year.
I hope you have a good Christmas. I know the first year(s) missing someone at family get-togethers is always hard. I will be praying for you. God bless you- xo Diana

  17. What a special tradition. Good thing you have all those girls. I hope they will carry on the tradition. I don't think our two grandsons would be interested. They love my very plain sugar cookies ... no icing!!! I know you will have a wonderful Christmas. There is a lot of love to share with your large family. Blessings to you.

  22. This looks like so much fun! I tried to do cookie baking this year, but my new granddaughter Clara Grace stole the show, I ended up in the kitchen finishing those cookies alone while everyone passed her around. Needless to say, not a lot of cookies got baked because I wasn't missing out on that fun!
