An Update on Mr. Sweet

The following is a post our girl, STACY CONKLIN BURKE, posted on FaceBook today.
6/13

Dad update: 
he's in the hospital for a few days. He's had an increase in seizures due to an increase of swelling in his brain. They're adjusting his meds so we hope to be seizure controlled and back to the business of strengthening soon. At this time, his MRI shows tumor activity with an increase in size since last scan. Next move is to start a different chemo drug. But, his platelets are too low to start it. So, please pray for his platelets to come up and for the tumor to slow down. Also for the swelling & seizures to subside. Thanks so much!

    Heavenly Father, we lift up our precious "Mr. Sweet" to you. Father we pray that the new meds will reduce the swelling on his brain, and the seizures will cease. Father we pray that he adjusts to the new chemo drugs quickly, and that they too work to reduce the size of the tumor. Father we pray for strength for he, BJ, and the entire family. Father we also lift up his medical team caring for him. Father may You be their guide in the coming days. Amen.

    Thanks for the update. BJ - I am so sorry you and hubby are having to go thru this. As you know, I've been there and it breaks my heart to have to see anyone else go thru this. The tests, etc. are all so draining and you just have to have so much faith in the Lord and your doctors. Praying for a quick choice of what they will do next. Praying so hard for you and your family. Keep us posted.
