This movie was released in 1947....
which would have made me 10 yrs old.
I don't remember seeing it as a young child...but I do remember seeing it when in my teens.
It is an adorable olden movie and, if you like these older movies and haven't seen this one, I highly recommend it.
So perfect to enjoy on a cold winters night, if front of a roaring fire or wrapped up in a cozy blanket with a cup of something hot to drink.
OOO.....
and speaking of EGGS....
my sweet blogging friend, LISA of Life Away From The Office Chair
posted about making delicious and healthy
BAKED EGG MUFFINS
(her photo)
hers are so healthy.
and they looked so delicious,
well, you might KNOW I just had to make them for our breakfast.
no fresh spinach...boo
but thinking this is a dish you can add
most of your favorite on-hand ingredients,
I just rolled up my shirt sleeves and got to mixing.
Let's see....
I have eggs and only wanting to make about 6 EggMc Muffins,
I will use only 1 egg...
*
I have 3 little pieces of fried spicy sausage from yesterday breakfast...
*
I have fresh Thyme (ummm)
*
I have HOT SAUCE...
*
I have Sharp Cheddar Cheese, grated
*
and I have one delicious Anaheim pepper
(they are sooo flavorful)
so I am GOOD TO GO....
I mixed them up and poured them in the pan..
and I never said mine were healthy...! 😁
oops...back into the hot oven for a little more
BROWN ...
but they are looking sooo good.
* * *
got to set a pretty little breakfast table...
♥ ♥ ♥
...my little cow creamer holding my dried roses of 3 yrs ago
is always cute on the breakfast table...
and who doesn't love BOXWOOD for ANY occasion...?
and my TREASURED blue and white thrifted dishes...
Is it wrong to love dishes so much...??
after all, they are an inanimate object...
but,
I think, with so many different kinds of love,
it's ok to say "I just LOVE these dishes".
don't the muffins look delicious...
so pretty and so tasty...
delicious hot coffee served in such a luscious cup and saucer...
Thanks, Lisa, for sharing this recipe you found on FaceBook...
Mr. Sweet also says "THANKS"...he enjoyed them.

Blue Monday 2 (until BackYard Neighbor gets back on the net, here's a spot to link)
These egg muffins look delicious! I'm always looking for something different to make for breakfast so I think I'll try them soon! Thank you for the recipe. PS: Love your blue and white dishes
ReplyDeleteOh, oh I'm jumping up and down with excitement. I have the same cow creamer, I never thought to put flowers in it - looks so cute. What a lovely breakfast!
ReplyDeleteWren x
You set a beautiful table!
ReplyDeleteI am an egg lover as well as a low-carber and these absolutely scrumptious! In face, I even have some of these throw-away muffin tins in my cabinet (although I figure any muffin tin will do). I do a lot of small meals in my toaster oven...I wonder how these would do in it??? Thanks for sharing, bj!
ReplyDeleteThis was just the sweetest little post. I was up very early making scrambled eggs and little smokies for my husband. I'll be making them again in just a bit for the rest of the family. Enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteCome visit me!
Blessings,
Laura
That looks delicious and very easy! I might have all those ingredients, too! And no, you can't have too many dishes and no, it isn't wrong!
ReplyDeleteFirst I've heard of it
ReplyDeleteIt's always the BEST at BJ's! I so love, love your photos of food. And oh honey...those dishes are to die for...LOVE THEM!
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking. They look so good! I want one now. Do know if they freeze o.k. I would love to make some for my breakfasts before I leave for work. But I'm to lazy to cook in the morning before work.
ReplyDeleteI like a leisurely cooking experience! Thanks for sharing these.
Your photo's are so pretty too. I wish I could take such pretty photo's.
XXOO
I saw that movie and my husband and I read the book together. Your table and dishes are beautiful. It is so hard to believe that you can make that many muffins with only one egg? Wow. I am going to try. That little cow creamer is so cute. The other day I was watching an old Home Improvement show in which Tim Allen was drinking coffee out of one of those. So funny!
ReplyDeleteNonnie...you just add a lot of other stuff to your egg and pretty soon, you have a muffin pan almost full...:)
DeleteNow thats what I call "loaded egg muffins". Thanks for the shout out!!!
ReplyDeleteYour a sweet heart.
Lisa
Love the little cow creamer. The muffins do look delicious. You always set a lovely table. Have a blessed day. Madeline
ReplyDeleteI love eggs cooked up many ways and these look delicious. The movie is a new one to me. The old movies were so fun and light compared to today's aren't they. Enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteWhat an interesting and different way to cook eggs.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
It looks even more delicious on those pretty thrifted dishes.
ReplyDeleteI'll have to see that movie. Thanks for the recipe too. Will give that a try.
ReplyDeleteWell, you have introduced me to a new blogger today. I have to go pay her a visit. OH MY those look good!!! I am drooling here reading about them...but, sadly, I can't do peppers--I am off to visit. Geez- you take good pictures, bj. xo Diana
ReplyDeleteThat movie is a vague memory...
ReplyDeleteThe egg cups look delicious and like something different for a change.
that is sure a beautiful breakfast table and those muffins look tasty! I'll have to give that recipe a try
ReplyDeleteI think while I ma iced in this weekend with the newest storm I will make some of those baby omelettes/ quiche type things.
ReplyDeleteYes I love buttered toast also and love those blue and white dishes. I don't know why I love dishes either, me living by myself I can't use them all LOL
I used to love making little egg muffins, too. So many fun ingredients to play with. Those look great.
ReplyDeleteHappy Weekend.
