Let My Little Light Shine....

For some reason, my COMPOSE page has changed and I have no control of centering my words....OR my photos....SOOO STRANGE.
Why do they have to keep changing things up ?
I've always been taught that "if it ain't broke, don't fix it..."
*
*WELL....just right in the middle of it all,
every thing centered....strange ! !

One of my favorite things to decorate is our mantel
and I change it often but nothing major...

I had little white lights on the mantel during Christmas
and LOVED them...
but, for some reason, took them off when storing holiday decos.

Then, missing the bling, I just got them back out and now,
I'm enjoying them again.

I don't have a wintertime wreath..
I am sooo deprived...😙
sooo...
out came my FALL wreath because my mantel NEEDED a wreath...
*

what you do when you don't have something you want NEED,
you just use what you DO have...
and besides...I love these colors....
and the little lights tell that wreath that it's a ROCK STAR...

...shine on
little lights...
you make me happy

I added a vase of faux Lime green hydrangeas...
so what if it's winter....
my mantel is confused...and full of COLOR...
a fall wreath
summer flowers
and little lights...
♥ ♥ ♥
confused but delightful to mine eyes...
and that's what matters.......right ?

and, in other news,

I made Buttermilk Biscuits from scratch this morning...
my goodness but they are good.

I made enuf to have some in the morning,
split...
buttered...
toasted...
and maybe one to put cinnamon and sugar on...
WAIT.....
the best bed-time snack in the world is CINNAMON TOAST...
so..
guess what my snack will be tonight...
LOL....ain't life grand !

Our sincere thanks for all the prayers and good thoughts
you so kindly are sending our way.
He had a test yesterday...
saw his cardiologist this morning and he suspects a light stroke
so will do echo and dopplers in 2 weeks ...
he goes back in a few days for another MRI...

As always in cases like this,
we are playing the waiting game and nothing has been
actually diagnosed other than
"a small tumor on the brain".

  1. Check your html coding, you probably have a center instruction embedded in your template.

  5. Having blog issues as well. Cannot review post now before publishing. Compose page way too big and do not not know how to change. I am not as smart as most of you when it comes to blogging. Mr. Sweet is a stronger person than we think, and will do fine. Maybe the problem will be in an early stage, and he'll keep enjoying those homemade biscuits.

  7. You know I am praying for you. I love your mantle. bj. You could throw a beach ball and a sand pail up there and it would look good! You never give yourself enough credit but you have a very good eye for putting things together. xo Diana

  8. Stay positive! It is what it is. The older we get, it's more of one day at a time.

  9. Oh that waiting game. It's true but hard to bear sometimes. We've just had a series at church on "Being on Hold" Sometimes we are in the waiting room wondering and praying and persevering. God has his own timing and we can always trust Him. Love and hugs to you and please pass me a biscuit.

  14. The waiting game is one I don't like to play very well and I don't imagine that you folks do either. Oh I have thought of making biscuits from scratch for days now...no handy little mixes in the house...it's not that they are difficult, but I have not done it. Now I just wish that I had some already baked so I could have a little snack before toodling off to bed. Some better planning is in order. I like that you fished your lights back out for the mantel. They look splendid. Your entire mantel does.

  19. That happened to me in blogger. Then I clicked on an old post and opened it and went back to the current one and reopened it and it was fine. Probably the equivalent of blogger PMS.

Love the look in your lovely home and thinking very positive thoughts for you and Mr. Sweet. Hang in there.

  32. Love your mantel ... I always use the tiny clear lights on my mantel because our living room does not get a lot of natural light. I am hoping to post my Christmas/Winter mantel before Spring gets here. I had better hurry!!! Biscuits look so good and I know they are very tasty. Still keeping Mr. Sweet in my prayers. Wishing for the best.
