I'm having 11 of my sweet friends over for our monthly
BUNCO game the 2nd week of November
and I LOVE getting my baking done early
and into the freezer.
I had the walnuts from our trip to see a grandson in Oregon last year....
and Oregon Walnuts
are THE BEST....
but NEVER as good as
OREGON G'SONS.
***********
I'd sure rather have DREW here with me instead of this ole bag of walnuts....:(
************
I have no idea why I love this picture....
...it went into the freezer to be taken out the day before the ladies come
and a Banana Glaze will be drizzled all over the top.....
with fresh banana slices on the side.
Do you know about using FRUIT FRESH on any fruits that might turn brown...
bananas
apples....etc
I always use it with fabulous success.
I wanted another dessert and was watching
Trish Yearwood's Southern Cooking tv show
and she was making a
CHOCOLATE POUND CAKE...
o honey
That sounds like something us Bunco Playing Ladies would LUV.
♥
Of COURSE I had to make something CHOCOLATE for my friends....
♥
I mean...isn't in a female's DNA to LUV CHOCOLATE...???
OOO......lookin' GOOOOD....
Not a grandbaby around to lick the bowl...
and Mr. Sweet has a cold and isn't one bit interested....
so....
what's a girl to do but
get the job done.....
...flowers make EVERYthing prettier....
Bundt cakes are so pretty to me.
There's some really fancy bundt pans at Williams-Sonoma
that MIGHT go on my Christmas List...:)
This cake will also go into the freezer....

Glad that you got the job done! That's what I told myself about the cookie dough on the beaters. Haven't had the beaters in years. Have a blast with those Bunco gals next week.

ReplyDeleteBanana bread is my favorite! Its so easy to make. I made a chocolate pound cake once). It had walnuts in it too. Nuts just make its all better. The cake turned out sooooo good I dare to make another one. Ive never heard of Bunco but it sounds like fun.

Your Bunco group must love coming to your home, BJ. Your goodies look so yummy. I make a chocolate pound cake that was my mother-in-law's recipe. It's wonderful---my husband's favorite. Enjoy your get together! ♥
