Halloween was right behind Christmas as favorite holidays
when I was a little girl.
I generally don't decorate much for Halloween...
and if I do, I don't put it on the porch until the week of ....
(I actually hung a cute little BOO ghost and a green Witchie Poo out already)

However, the older I get, the more fun I have just
taking photos of holiday fare.
the paper plates are adorable...
I found last years Country Living Halloween issue...
which is what prompted me to do this post.
I love that little owl pumpkin ..
if my "get up and go" was stronger, I'd make one..
*heavy sigh
so I just
fixed my hungry self a cup of the best tea ...
Mandarin orange spice...O HONEY
and being caffeine free, I love it at bedtime.

...and, of course, I had to have an afternoon delight
with my tea...
it's the little ones that make it fun for us older ones...
and with
3 little GREAT-GRANDS,
it WILL be fun.
OOO,
and this WICKED GOOD MUFFIN
has no homemade recipe..
it came straight from the bakery and I could NEVER make one
as tasty as this...
Don't overlook goodies in your local grocery store's bakery...
they have some delicious treats..
Mm that banana muffin looks nice.
ReplyDeleteLittle kids in costumes are the best part of Halloween!
ReplyDeleteBJ, You need to be selling used cars...dang if you don't make me want things once you have described them. LOL Yes, I want some tea and a muffin. I love that little owl pumpkin too. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
ReplyDeleteA very cute Halloween post. Great photos. That muffin looks delicious. Have a blessed day. Madeline
ReplyDeleteGreat fun BJ. Tea and muffins sounds lovely right now. Love those cute plates.
ReplyDeleteNever too early to celebrate Halloween, dear Lady....
ReplyDeleteAbout to fix a pot of Coffee... Sorry that we missed your family's Birthday celebration...
Ooh, I too love Mandarin Orange tea! Dang BJ...it's a good thing we don't live close by one another. I got a feeling we'd get in a mess of trouble or we'd spend lots of time baking, cooking and sipping our tea. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteI love Halloween, Plan to put my decorations up this weekend. - You found some fun ones, that owl was adorable & I want one of those yummy muffins.
ReplyDeleteI;ll take one of those muffins please. :)
ReplyDeleteHi BJ I too am starting to decorate for Halloween. I love Halloween and all the folktales and legends of things that go bump in the night. Come visit, my fairytale is posted on my blog.
ReplyDeletexoxo,
Vera
I dont decorate much either. I just decided to skip the decor this year and save my husband at trip up to the attic I may just add some real live leaves to the mantle or something. No kids at my house and not visitors either. I did hang a wreath though. It was tucked in my closet. ha.
ReplyDeleteI love those plates. You make paper look like china.
Lisa
I LOVE Halloween, but I don't decorate for it. I'm lucky to get my Christmas decorations up in time!
ReplyDeleteBring on your DELICIOUS, SASSY and CUTE, COLORFUL and FUN . . .
ReplyDeleteLOVE IT!
(But . . . way too early to be seeing Christmasy things in the stores!)
I am inspired to get my stuff from the attic but haven't yet:(. Love the muffins at my local grocery store. Enjoy your evening dear B J. Hugs
ReplyDeleteI have a few things I need to get ready but haven't yet
ReplyDeleteand I'm not close to Matthew (kinda). We live in at the northwest part of South Carolina. Hurricanes have to be extreme to really cause a problem here. We might get a few bad storms but nobody is boarding their windows or turning the basement into a costco
DeleteSheesh...you don't have to tell me twice not to ignore the bakery goods, LOL!
ReplyDeleteWith all your grands and great-grands, you just have to put up some Halloween decorations. I am not one to put up scary Halloween. I put black mice and ravens in my Farmers Market Fall decoration one year and they were cute.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the cooler weather that may be on the way.
Hugs,
Audrey Z.
I love Celestial Seasonings teas, but haven't tried the Mandarin Orange. Now I will have to!
ReplyDeleteI think you always make things fun, bj. Love all your Halloween pictures. Hoping for cool down here in Dallas this weekend. Happy weekend to you!
ReplyDeleteBJ, lovely and festive decor. you're right about the little ones making it fun. I had to drop out of the blog tour last week, could you please remove my blog from the Friday list? Thanks, sharon
ReplyDeleteOf course I love everything halloween. The colors, the decorations and the fun kids have. AND witches. Your one set of paper plates "Let's Get Wicked" would fit so perfectly at my house...the wicked witch den. I just posted a little video of some of my wicked ladies yesterday.
ReplyDeleteBOO!!!
You could make every day a holiday! I do believe you really are Mary Poppins, BJ! xxx J.
ReplyDeleteYour muffins look so good! And I love those paper plates!
ReplyDeleteYummy muffin!...Christine
ReplyDeleteNo matter the occasion, you make it so much fun. You definitely have an eye for decorating.
ReplyDeleteNow I am craving a muffin, you naughty girl leading me astray at this time of night. I love the kids' Halloween costumes and all the excitement it generates for them. It's the best part of the Holiday for me.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great weekend, bj. Just trying to get back to blogging a bit here....xo Diana
Hi bj, I am still a kid at heart and love Halloween just as much as I did as a kid. Love decorating for it and seeing the trick or treaters at the door. Oh, and the family Halloween party is always so much fun! The tea and muffin both sound heavenly! Thanks for sharing with SYC.
ReplyDeletehugs,
