"They" say "man can not live by bread alone"

but I beg to differ..
I'm pretty sure I could live on THIS bread alone....

WHITE CHOCOLATE APRICOT BREAD
from our local grocery store bakery.

 It's a bit expensive, I suppose...
somewhere around $5 for a generous round.

However, I watch closely and when they put a few loaves on the DISCOUNT CART for 1/2 price, I grab them and into the freezer they go.

Freezing keeps them fresher and, oh, how good it is to pull out, thaw a bit, slice, and toast...

The bakers of this bread are not stingy with the ingredients...
lots of white chocolate chips...
big, generous pieces of luscious apricots.....

such a gorgeous bread....

see those sweet apricots....

and those chunks of white chocolate....

...slather a bit of butter on each slice
and slide beneath the broiler...

....while that bread becomes delicious toast,
it has started to sprinkle and  I am keeping fingers crossed for RAIN.

...getting my coffee ready at the coffee bar...

While I don't use sub sugar ...I hate the after-taste I have with it...
I always have it for ones around that DO use it...
HOWEVER, if it would make my hair black again and a long pony tail...
and my waist that slim...
and my hips just right...

I sure would use it ....I think...LOL

One lump or two...?

I use 2, thank you very much...

When toasted, all that luscious white chocolate melts
and you can taste it in every bite.
I'm hoping your day is going really good.
XOXO, bj ♥ ♥

...if you see this bread in your store bakery,
and you like white chocolate and apricots...
BUY IT...
YOU'LL LOVE IT....

But!!!! Life without running to the loo, is too wonderful... To try eating gluten again!!! :-))) Gotta' look on the bright side! :-))))

Enjoy an extra slice for me!!!!

  9. I really think I could live by bread alone! Rick makes the best -- and makes it often. All kinds. And I can't stop. Which explains the hips...

Your photos are fabulous -- each and every one makes me smile!

  10. Our grocery baker isn't quite that inventive! I am just going to have to toast myself another piece of apple tea ring!

  12. Not since Ole Miz Prater interrupted Sunday School that time to talk at length about her husband's---ahem---problem, have I ever wanted to tell anybody to HUSH UP so badly. And for quite the opposite reason---your words and these photos---OHHHHH MYYYY.

Only the fact that I have a dozen S'mores cupcakes in the oven lets you off the hook this time.

    But watch it.

  20. Goodness, BJ, but that bread does look delicious! Bread is one of the things I love most. My hubby's retirement job is at a place in town that caters to seniors' transportation, meals, etc. One of the markets in town donates bread that they bake in their bakery dept. Since my hubby is a senior, he brings home some of the leftover loaves and pastries that would otherwise be discarded. Unfortunately, I find myself eating much more of it than I should. This is the first time in a couple of weeks that I have done much visiting with my blogging friends. I have some back issues which seem to be worsening and I have been a bit miserable. Wanted you to know that I (we) are still praying for your David and hope that he is doing very well after his surgery!

  21. BJ,
Oh, dear friend, you know I'll be on the "look~out" for that luscious bread!
Your patio area near the pool is calling to me to come out~of~doors for a spell!
I'm thrilled that Spring has finally come to the Prairie!
I don't even mind the April Showers that we've been having!
After all. . .isn't that what rain boots, coats and umbrellas are for? (wink!)
Thanks for sharing this amazing golden bread!
    Fondly,
    Pat

  22. Sorry bj that you have not gotten some good rain. We got a total of about five inches and small hail. Our daughter's house in Houston was flooded when they got home Sunday night. Not too bad, but ten inches of rain was a little more than their yard could take. Your loaf of bread looks so good. Where did you buy it? Your pictures are so professional looking.
    Hugs,
    Audrey

  27. I would love to know if you could get that bread in Austin! Looks so good all toasted up. I like to peruse the bakery day olds at Wal-Mart for French bread. I mix butter, mayo, grated cheese, olives, onion, and whatever and slather it on a loaf that's been sliced in half. Bake til bubbly and serve with soup. SO GOOD. I'm that pony tail girl on the inside - too bad the outside doesn't cooperate! (:
