♫ ♪....hey.....hey Baby ♪♫

This is a silly post...
but I just finished watching, for about the 75th time,

This is one of my favorite movies of all time....

There's so many life lessons in this adorable movie,
not to mention all the AWEsome music...

I LOVE a good movie full of laughs, mixed in with more
sober moments...

I think Jennifer Gray is so adorable in this movie...the best of her career.

The log dancing was one I REALLY enjoyed...so so cute

Don't you just know they had so much fun doing this....

What a handsome, talented man he was.

Jessica, a grandgirl, can "dance" on a log, too.
Way to go, Jess....♥ ♥ ♥ did you have MUSIC..??

And, of course, the classic movie line...

...this scene and the words of life makes my heart beat a little faster,
no matter how many times I watch the movie.
Hope your week is going good....
xoxo bj

  9. You make me want to watch this movie again, BJ! I bet my dancing loving DGD would enjoy it, too.
    I adored Patrick Swayze...what a terrible loss.
I wish Jennifer hadn't had so much plastic surgery done. She doesn't look at all like herself anymore!
I'm impressed with your granddaughter's bravery & balance! WTG, Jessica!

  10. I love the movie, too. The music was awesome and Patrick was at his most handsome. One of my favorite scenes in the movie was the dance scene in the end when Jennifer jumped into Patrick's arms and he lifted her high in the air.

  11. One of my favorites also! They just don't make movies like that anymore. So much love, passion, dancing and wonderful music. Loved when she jumped into his arms and he raised her up. So awesome. I really miss Patrick. He was a true star.

  14. I don't think it's so silly. I loved the line when Patrick said something like "Baby doesn't sit in a corner." I wrote a kind of silly post about a movie a while back.
I love the log shot of the grand! Thanks for sharing. I really enjoyed.
One of my favorite movies of all times!

  16. With three daughters who were teens back then, you can't imagine how many times I've seen this movie. No one puts Baby in a corner! BTW, Crazy Stupid Love has a great scene where Ryan Goshling tells his date that his "no-fail" way to get women to sleep with him is to catch them in the air like Patrick did Baby. Then he proceeds to show her how. Might be better than the original couple doing it. honest. It is a wonderful movie too, so recommend it to any Dirty Dancing fan.

  17. You're just too cute, bj! My mom dearly loves the movie, too. I thought Jennifer Gray looked better before she had the plastic surgery.

  19. I really liked that movie, too, though I have only watched it once. Perhaps it's time to watch it again. (The title was upsetting to me. True! That's why liking it surprised me.)

  20. One of my favorite movies as well and no matter how many times you watch it....never tire of it. Love the music too...bought and plum WORE OUT at least THREE cassettes (remember those things!? Lol) when it came out. I have some pictures of Baby and Johnny on my sidebar i think. Patrick is very missed...truly a wonderful talent and he really seemed like a good and down to earth man.did you see that episode of Oprah when he snuck onstage and surprised that couple? That was priceless! I could watch that over and over too. Thank you for the compliment on my pictutmrr with the blue hour. Its hard to get... My husband calls it "the blue minute" because its over quickly! Lol

  21. This was a cute movie. My best friend once said this was her all time favorite movie too. Mine is probably "Out Of Africa" The music and the scenery and Merle Streep..and Robert Redford all made it my favorite. I still cry when I watch it and I watch it probably too often!
Patrick was such a cutie..and and terrific dancer and actor. It was hard to take when cancer took him. I was sad to see Jennifer disappear. She was adorable and had a lot to offer.
There is that moment in life that presents itself to you so fleetingly and if you lose it..it is often never presented again. I grabbed that moment and I have never ever been sorry. I wish that feeling for everyone I love. Makes me smile just remembering..thank God for memories!! Hugs!
