Like all of you, we spent several days and hours getting
our Christmas decorations down and packed in tubs
for NEXT year....
wreaths hanging in spare storage closet...
WHEW....
quite a job for olden people like us.
Mr. Sweet said,
"BOY...that was a job and a half..we sure don't need
any more Christmas decorations..."
and I said,
"BOY....you said a mouthful there...
we don't need even one more thing..."
and then....
I had to go to WALGREEN to pick up meds...
ALL their Christmas decos....90% off....
"oh, lordy...don't even LOOK at them, bj"
I tried to get out of there as fast as I could....
but....NINETY PERCENT OFF...!!!!!
I walked right by this little tree and honestly, only looked sideways at it...
WHAT..????
Now $1.99
I am thinkin', "this has GOODWILL beat...
I am thinkin', "this has GOODWILL beat...
OOO....and I failed to mention to him that they had TWO of these cutie pies
and....
Mercy i wouldve bought them too!!!! That price!!!
ReplyDeleteNot Bad at all BJ!
ReplyDeleteNext year you will enjoy to put it all back and imagine all your family enjoying the beauty and magic created.
I always go for sale items because "one never knows" (right??? ahahahahah)
I like the rtual of "dismounting Christmas" as I call it. I like to have the home "all" for myself. Holidays fill our space and suddenly I miss my normal and eternal knick knack and to display some that was a gift. That's what keep us alive I believe. This creating and reinventing of traditions, beauty, life...
Thank you for sharing,
T
Hahahaha, 90% off is not to be taken lightly. You did the right thing BJ. ;)
ReplyDeleteHaha, don't tell him there are two, but you need one either side of the doorway don't you!!! What a bargain,
ReplyDeleteI would have bought them also. I love the little trees so much. Easy to move around and decorate! 90% off is hard to walk away from!
ReplyDeletea bargain is a bargain is a bargain.
ReplyDelete:DDD!!! You are helpless - oh boy! But they sure shall be the prettiest thing next Xmas!
ReplyDeleteHa! But for $1.99, who could resist? You could always donate them next year if you end up not using.
ReplyDeleteYes, you had to have them!! Maybe one on either side of the front door next year! I only have a tub sized space next to my washer for storage here at my Florida home and have five tubs stacked with decorations. Three for Christmas, one for Fall and one for Spring. I'm thinking of buying a shed!
ReplyDeleteWhat a DEAL! I don't think the Mr. could even pass that up! heehee! Good job....as they say to kids now! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteThat's a deal too great to pass up. It will be adorable next year. If you are anything like me, you just might forget you bought it by the time next Christmas comes around :)
ReplyDeleteI would have done it too.
ReplyDeleteYep, I would have bought them also!
ReplyDeleteYou need Christmas Anonymous!
ReplyDeleteI am so happy you spotted them and added them to your collection. Just don't forget what you were planning on doing with them, because that is something I would do.
ReplyDeleteNonie
LOL oh BJ, you naughty girl. You made me laugh out loud. Don't forget to show us next year what you do with these trees. Love that deal though. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteYou bad but fun!! LOL Anxious to see the tree next year. I've hit quite a few GREAT after Christmas sales also.
ReplyDeleteJudy
DANG! I wish I could get to Walgreens to see if they have one. I am looking for a tree for my office for next year and this would be pERFECT!!! I do NOT need any more either:):):):)
ReplyDeleteHa! 90% off is pretty darn good. I've had to make a couple extra trips up the attic steps to store some new Christmas goodies I found. LOL!
ReplyDeleteI would have bought them both, too! I cannot believe you are tempting us with these and we have to wait twelve months! Wait. Oh, yes I can believe it! You love to tease us!
ReplyDeleteLOL, I am staying well away from the Christmas mark downs this year.
ReplyDeleteHave fun with your lovely trees next Christmas. After all it is only 50 weeks away.
God bless.
Ha ha! That little sneak-a-peak scored you a great deal, I'd say! I would have brought them home, too. You'll be so glad to have them next year.

BJ, I can certainly empathize with your post. It is sooo difficult to pass up such a good deal and cute too!
ReplyDeleteOh goodness I'm goin to Walgreens! You can never have too many trees. I'm hopin to pick up some more garland for next year. Have you tried adding it to the tree? Saw it on Pinterest.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your bargain.
Hope your week is going great!
We put our trees up late for Christmas and we are in the middle of taking our Christmas things down, BJ. Ornaments and decor covering the dining room and containiers stacked up in the living room (lol). And, yes, I cannot remember a year that we didn't add to our already bursting at the seams collection. My husband is as bad about picking up things on clearance after the holidays as I am! By the way, I am a follower of your blog with Google friends and I enjoy reading your posts!
ReplyDeleteI am running to Walgreens! What a great bargain!!!
ReplyDeleteWell of course you both both of them! Love the idea of snowy trees dress in black and white. '-)
ReplyDeleteThey will be so cute! He'll be happy next Christmas. Those prices really did have Goodwill beat.
ReplyDeleteOh BJ, you do my heart good!! Of course you couldn't pass up one of those little trees - and of course you had to keep the matching pair together....of course you did. I understand completely - and I am still laughing!
ReplyDeleteOh BJ you're too funny!
ReplyDeletexoxo,
Vera
You go girl! Yep...hard to pass up a tree at that price. And two just makes it better! I love things in twos also. Sheila
ReplyDeleteHi BJ, how I wish our stores here will give such offers too, especially for the decoration items.
ReplyDeleteHehehe!! You're too funny bj! You make me lol! 😂
ReplyDeleteHi bj, oh this is too funny. I've been trying to pass up the after holiday sales too, but it's hard. You got two great trees. Score! ;)

ReplyDeleteOh dear!!
ReplyDeleteAt 90% off I would have bought them myself. Have a blessed day. Madeline
ReplyDeleteYou are so funny. Great price and I would have bought them both too. Don't you feel one bit guilty!
ReplyDeleteOh my bj . . .
ReplyDeleteBetter stay away from the stores throughout January!
I know. I feel your pain -- both in the de-decorating and the re-stocking departments!
ReplyDeleteYou are a hoot! Love you to pieces!!
ReplyDeleteBig Texas Hugs,
Susan and Bentley
Hey BJ, the tree looks like it different colors with blue. Hey what about a Mardi Gras tree, then you could enjoy it now and later!!! I do not think anyone could pass up and bargain like that. You did good girl.
