It's getting REALLY close to Easter, ya'll so I started gathering up different items to use for an
INFORMAL EASTER BRUNCH
for Mr. Sweet and myself.
I gathered all the little rabbits around...
I decided to use this off white throw for a cloth...
When I started looking for PLACE MATS,
I remembered that they were all in my vintage wicker suitcase.....
and see that cute little brass LOCK...
I CAN NOT FIND THE KEY.....bwaaaaaaa
I'm sure I put it somewhere SAFE so I wouldn't lose it during our big move....
I have a few mats out but not any that I wanted to use for this special brunch.
O, well....
A lot of you know that I adore the beautiful and fun
paper plates...
especially for special times of the year.
Aren't these just beautiful...
full of lovely flowers and a butterfly.
So, for this EASTER BRUNCH,
I will use these as gorgeous chargers.
Yes, ma'am...
these are perfect for us and I love 'em.
I've never been a paper plate snob...:)
...and just take a look at these adorable
RABBITS...
The most precious little rabbit paper napkins that I love so much,
I almost want to frame one.
This little brown rabbit has resided at SWEET NOTHINGS
for several years.
*
That cutie-pie bottle came from LAURIE ANNA'S in Canton, Tx.
Here is another little rabbit and his carrots are salt and peppers.
My good friend, MARTHA, gave this to me several years ago and I think
that they are simply adorable.
And, I couldn't leave out my favorite little rabbit pillow.
The beautiful stem glasses that were my mother's.
She picked them out sometime in the late 60's and
my brother, dad and I bought one of two for her for every special occasion.
She loved them so much and so do I.
I have no idea what the pattern might be....must google it sometime.
*
I am using my green handled flatware...
it seems to go with so many settings.
Aren't those little eggs adorable in that miniature nest....?
Oh, my....I almost forgot my little FAUX Chocolate bunny....
Cheesy Scrambled Eggs, just the way we love them...
Brown Sugar Ham
Cherry Pastries
(my eyes roll back in my head with the first bite of these)
Fresh
PLUMCOTS... OH, SO GOOD.
*
I have some more beautiful roses to DRY...
Thanks for hanging with me long enuf to get thru
ALL THESE PHOTOS...
Have a blessed and happy Easter.
XOXO, bj
I'm so glad I did this brunch early ...I later came down with pneumonia and
we will have to cancel Easter at our house this year. *heavy sigh
I don't remember a time that we didn't have a family Easter luncheon
at our house....but so many other blessings to be thankful for, this is not going to make me sad.
Thank you for prayers to get me over this pneumonia.....xoxo

Your table setting is beautiful. I love all of your bunnies. Everything looks so Spring-y. Please rest and take extra good care of yourself so you can heal quicker. I hope you will be feeling better very soon.
ReplyDeleteHow does your faux chocolate bunny survive. It certainly looks edible. And my mouth was watering when the real food appeared.
ReplyDeleteBe Well.
I hope you get better, have a great Easter
ReplyDeleteTable ware to dream about, bunnies galore, green glasses, and so much more, but the paper napkins, I would photo, frame and make one for the wall, totally picture perfect. The lung stuff, hope a doctor's visit is planned, lots of rest, and wishes to get better fast. Easter wishes to you and yours, from NZ.
ReplyDeletePneumonia . . . you poor dear. Do take care, get well . . . so you'll be tip top for brunch sometimes soon.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if your green is Fostoria Coin Glass? Very pretty . . .
Happy Easter bj . . .
I think the pattern of your green glassware is 'moon and stars'. In the 1960s these were a repro of an earlier glassware. I had some, too -- don't know what happened to them. I loved them then and I love them now. Wish I still had mine, which were amber!! Hope you get to feeling better. Sally
ReplyDeleteEverything is so pretty...what a shame about the lockout but you did good!
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter and feel well soon!

You make every day special, BJ. Praying for the last remnants of that nasty pneumonia to leave so that you can concentrate on more good times. Will you be able to go to the big house for Easter and you know what I mean! (Your son and daughter-in-law's not jail.) Many Easter blessings to you and your family. He is Risen!
ReplyDeleteBJ,
ReplyDeleteI could pick that lock for you... Seriously I could! OK where to start, first up I love, adore and smiled with your sweet header. Awwww Brown Bunnies are my favorites. I even have a couple of Brown Bunnies that visit me when I'm gardening. They are not afraid and wind up sitting on our stone wall watching me. Yes, I on occasion give them a carrot or two or three!!!! What can I say, I have a fondness for Bunnies. You have an adorable collection displayed. As always I admire and enjoy your creative photography. But BJ I'm concerned about you having pneumonia and I'm sending bunny kisses and well wishes your way. Enjoy your brunch with hubby, I think some horseradish might kill some of those germs!
Happy joyous Easter
xoxo,
Vera
YUM,YUM,YUM! I love the little bunny holding the salt and paper shakers - too cute! Happy easter and Happy Spring!

You have such sweet whimsical bunnies to share. How come I never find such great paper plates? I would be hoarding some of those napkins. I wonder if they could be decoupaged onto something?
