~ ~ ♥ ♥ ~ ~ PAUL ~ ~ ♥ ♥ ~ ~

Most of us get a ONCE IN A LIFETIME event...
One that will never ever happen again, most likely.

In my long lifetime, I've been lucky to be able to see lots of entertainers....
ELVIS
FATS DOMINO
LITTLE RICHARD
LORETTA LYNN
CONWAY TWITTY
WAYLON JENNINGS
GEORGE STRAIT
REBA McINTIRE
and several others.

Their concerts were good... some were REALLY good.

After being able to attend PAUL McCARTNEY'S
Lubbock, Texas concert on NOV. 2, 2014,
I can understand the following statement...
" He is  one of the most popular solo performers of all time in terms of both sales of his recordings and attendance at his concerts."

Waiting.....
for the doors to open....
with Deeds, Jessamy, Drew, moi, Jent, Brooks and Brynna

we got tickled when we saw this photo because the woman, in blue, on the stairs,
kept smiling every time we took a photo....like she was a part of the family...
so cute.
Please keep in mind the following photos were taken in
concert...from pretty far away...
using only a Point and Shoot camera.
Not the best quality but I wouldn't take a MILLION DOLLARS for them !!
♥

From the minute he took the stage,
his audience was in TOTAL AWE of his presence and his talents.

His magnificent voice hasn't changed one single bit...
and he looks SOOO good...
This man is 72 years old...
and when he turned, shook his cute butt just a bit,
every female in the audience got weak-kneeded and screamed.

hahhaa....
yep...my knees did get a little bit weak....:>)

He came on about 9 p.m. and entertained us for
THREE SOLID HOURS...
never leaving the stage one time.
♥

The stage...
the lightening
his band...
NOTHING BUT 1ST CLASS ALL THE WAY.

He played many different guitars..
all perfect...
his piano playing talent is not to be believed...just AWESOME.

His interaction with the audience...
his personality jumping right off the stage...
his talents...
his down-right CUTENESS
held this audience in the palm of his hand.
This was an experience I am so grateful not to have missed.
If he comes anywhere NEAR your town,
I strongly urge you to go see him in concert.
I've never been so impressed with anyone in my entire life...
and as soon as I get some GOOD photos of him from my girl,
I feel another McCARTNEY POST forming in my head.

 blue monday
 ruby tuesday2
your gonna love it tues (how could you NOT)

  1. 3 hours on stage? That's practically unheard of (I think) ... sure is a testament to his passion, isn't it?

So glad you had a great time, BJ! I'm going to send this link to my blog buddy in California who's thinking of going to see him.

  8. Oh, how wonderful! I'm so happy you got to go to this amazing concert. He was always my favorite, but I was a Beatles fan from the first, seeing them live on my granparent's black and white TV! Then my best friend and I sang their hits over and over with our bangs combed as far as our moms would allow! ...and I held her hand in my-kneeeeeeee! Lol

  13. It sounds wonderful to me! I love it that he hasn't lost his ability to perform and is still using his (many) gifts after all these years. I don't know if my favorite part is the part about him shaking his booty a little or the random woman smiling. So funny! Maybe she knows you are a blogger and knew her face might end up on the WWW.

  19. Hi BJ,

I decided to link you in myself! (I still don't know what's wrong.)

What a great experience, and so much blue!

I've been to hear Sammy Davis, Jr. and twice to hear Johnny Mathais. We're going to see Jay Leno; I'll report on that. But, Sir Paul? No, I've not had the pleasure. Three hours? I'm impressed!

    Have a Happy Blue Monday!

I was lucky enough to see Paul ( always my favorite) with the Beatles when they did their first North American tour. That was a thrill!! You could hardly hear the music for the screaming.

  29. Wow! What an amazing concert. I only hope that I have that much energy when I'm 72 years old. Also, to answer your question about how to disable Google plus, I have provided a link for you. Don't worry, it will definitely help you. Good luck and thank you so much for following me. I am following you, too... :)

  30. Oh, I know how you feel. Three years ago I saw Sir Paul McCartney in concert in Salt Lake City. What a wonderful experience. Only once in a life time. And I have waited a life time to see him. He is amazing. So glad you got to experience his music in person. Hugs, Karie

  33. I really admire performers who give their audience a great show. It's obvious that he truly loves what he does and gives his all to his many fans. If you ever have a chance to go to a Chris Isaac concert ~ go! I have been to three of his concerts and have loved every one of them. Glad you had such a good time!

    Big Texas Hugs,
    Susan and Bentley

When was the concert? Great pictures.

  36. Being a Brit I've always liked the Beatles of course, but never seen them perform live. My mother met them all in person when they performed at the theatre where she was working in southern England, they were young and just hitting the big time then - must have been around 1963 just after I came to work in Washington, D.C.

Glad you all had so much fun - Sir Paul is amazing for his age!

  37. Totally exciting indeed. I would have enjoyed that one myself.

  38. I am sure my hubby would love to see Paul in concert.
He was a huge Beatles fan in the day.
I got a chuckle of the concert date listed in the post: November 2, 2014.
Yep, I usually read every word of a post :)
