Peter Peter...Pumpkin Eater

Now that we are having cooler Autumn weather,

The swimmers have stopped playing and having fun in the water and
most of
the pretty plants and flowers that were around the pool

have been moved to THE GREENHOUSE.

Wondering about plants that might could survive our winters here outdoors,
we have to do some googling on that subject...
but to fill IN BETWEEN, .......

 more PUMPKINS to the rescue.....

I think they look adorable out there, on that pretty rock mountain!
and...
when son, DAVID KEITH, had the new pool built last winter,
he also added a huge outdoor kitchen....

after all the pretty plants and seat cushions were removed
from the Outdoor Kitchen,
it looked SO bare...
kind of like when we take all our Christmas decorations down from inside
our homes....B.A.R.E.
(that's a big tv behind those pretty wooden doors)

so, I made a small arrangement to go in the corner...
all faux and it is only covered out there by a pergola,
so those faux flowers will get wet and probably fade !

Our autumn winds get pretty frisky sometimes so I
decided not to do a tall arrangement that could catch that wind...
and just might end up in the pool....
I'm sure more pumpkins will be added for Thanksgiving...

This view right outside my front door...

...right outside my side windows...

I am blessed beyond measure....

Happiest Autumn to all...

  4. Yes- You are blessed, bj. I love that pool and it must be fun to have it right outside your front door. It is wonderful that you and Bill were able to be there before he got ill. You have family there and that is a really good thing.

LOVE the pumpkins on the rock wall! xo Diana

  8. Weather, season changes, affecting us all . . .
Having made a winter trip to Texas a few years back . .
I remember it much different than the snow and ice we were leaving.
This reminds me that you too, have “buttoning up” to do as the seasons change . . .
Sounds like there is always wind for you to contend with.
Such a lovely home you have bj . . .

  10. Great idea to add some faux for color. Hoping you are getting some of the rain we've been getting in NE Texas.

  11. Oh that looks so beautiful and inviting! I like the way you added just a touch of Fall outside. I have no idea how to decorate so just putting a small pumpkin on the mantel is HUGE for me. :)
