Too windy to work in the garden...

We had such a beautiful day on Saturday...
NO WIND....
so, on Sunday, I was looking forward to working on our patio..
puttering in my container garden...
potting some bright, new flowers...

and then it started again...
we've had furious winds  all spring....almost every single day.

soooo...

I hung my gardening hat up on a peg
and put on an apron
and made.....

a biscuit can brighten my day about as quick as anything I can think of...

♥ ♥ ♥

ESpecially BUTTERMILK BISCUITS

...the cute set of Blue and White spreaders...

I found them at Goodwill for $2.00...

6 little spreaders with porcelain handles...in a decorated wooden holder...

...when I find something this cute, I always wonder why/how they ended up in a thrift store.

something missing....

 I have to say...
those biscuits were delicious.

I'll wait out the fierce winds and work in my container garden another day.

he is still looking good, I think...
his smile is strong...
his eyes are bright...
and he is pleased with losing over 25 lbs
and we go out most everyday in the sunshine and fresh air
and he is getting a tan....
(the fella behind him in the pink shirt is a very good friend that
came to visit him from another state.....we were all sooo glad to see PAT)

  1. He does look good! So do those Buttermilk Biscuits... you have the best food pictures! We've had those strong winds too, all the way up here in Michigan. But, some gardening did happen this weekend. It's always so nice when a few beautiful plants are put in the pots and the ground. Enjoy your day!

  5. He looks fantastic. The biscuits look amazing. I'm sorry it was windy. We didn't have wind out here in Arlington but it was overcast and gross. We had a beautiful day for yard work yesterday.

  9. It looks like your summer is off to a great start! I was just thinking what I would like for breakfast - but I think it will have to be toast as I have sat in front of my computer too long...oh, well! I remember the winds in Lubbock. Hot and full of dirt! We would arrive home after school with it packed into every pore. Filthiest kids ever! Ha! Have a great day!

  28. What a great picture of your family and Mr. Sweet looks so good. I sure could eat about 12 of those biscuits with some jelly on them and lots of butter. On the farm that my mothers family had my twin uncles and would not sit down to a meal unless there were fresh home made biscuits on the table.
Now being on a carb diet no biscuits for me, but look out when I lose my weight I am having a couple. LOL

We have had a lot of wind also, I can't even open my umbrella's.

Take care BJ and my best to Mr. Sweet.

    Hugs,
    Mary
