We just LOVE
strawberries...
I think most people do.....
I don't think I've ever known anyone that didn't like them....
I've known quite a few that were allergic to them and they
have my sympathy....!

They are so good ANY way they are served.
I especially love them for breakfast.

Waffles...
pancakes...
"What's for breakfast?" said Pooh. "What do you say, Piglet?"
"I say, I wonder what's going to happen exciting today?" said Piglet.
...they are awesome cut up into a salad..
Look at that vintage BUTTERMILK
GOBLET...I just love it. I found it and another like it at Goodwill one day a few years ago..
When I was little, my step-g'mother had a lot of these. She gave me one and I have to find it and use it....
THESE look so amazing and I sure am going to make them
before the strawberry season is over.
I made a Rustic
Strawberry Galette once for our girl's birthday
and it was out of this world.
These aren't HARD to make and they look sooo impressive.
Sorry, not sure which recipe I used but you can Google it.

BJ, There seems to always be something cooking at your house. YUM. I loved the Pooh saying. Hope your weekend is a fun filled one. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteYummy! Love strawberries and cream. Just had Fresh berries and Ice cream.
ReplyDeleteBJ, I cut up strawberries in our cereal just this morning, along with some pecans. Makes the whole cereal thing more enjoyable!
ReplyDeleteWell now I'm ready for breakfast! Everything looks fabulous here bj! Have a wonderful weekend. When I lived in California I lived in an area with many strawberry fields. It was so fabulous to stop at the stands and get fresh berries that had just been picked!
ReplyDeleteYou have met someone who doesn't like strawberries. I don't -- it isn't so much the taste, but the texture. Everyone in my family loves them, so I buy and fix them all of the time; but rarely take a bite!!! Your photos always make me wish I liked them better. Hope it is starting to cool down a bit in your part of the country. It really has been a wonderful summer here -- wish you could have visited us again. Sally
ReplyDeletePictures of YUM indeed . . .
ReplyDeleteLoved the Pooh and Piglet conversation . . .
Most strawberries are either grown in California or the South in the USA. Florida once went through a freeze and it destroyed their crop. So when I used to work at a produce department, we had a few cases come in from..Arizona. They looked awful
ReplyDeleteI love strawberries. Thanks for sharing this post with us. Have a blessed day and wonderful weekend. Madeline
ReplyDeleteI enjoy strawberries, but they do not last long. It is hard for one to eat a box before they start getting bad. Now, I know one of the reasons Mr. Sweet married you - you loved to cook and he loves eating it. In my opinion, that is not a picture of you as a red head.
ReplyDeleteThis looks tasty! Our strawberry season is over and now we're into blueberries! I'm all for fruit any day, any time!
ReplyDeleteHi BJ, now I feel like eating Strawberries and want to try the cookie recipe. I love strawberries too.
ReplyDeletexoxo,
Vera
Oh my mouth is watering! Our unseasonably hot summer here brought strawberries (the good, sweet local kind) very early and they lasted just a short time. . .now we are on to tree fruits which are also unusually early (and somewhat tasteless) due to the extreme temperatures we had.
ReplyDeleteHappy Saturday bj. I love strawberries too. Love all the sweet recipes you showed here. Yum love the tastes of summer.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week end.
Kris
Strawberries are so yummy. So are your recipes. They make me hungry! There's a lot of good eating around your place.
ReplyDeleteI love Strawberry Shortcake!!! However strawberries here are out of season and don't taste quite as nice as they do in season.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Love strawberries. Everything you show looks so very good. The ones I got this week were so sweet.
ReplyDeleteI would worry about anyone who didn't like strawberries. They are really delicious this time of the year.
ReplyDeleteJudy
Hi BJ! I ran out of strawberries, but now you have me wanting to run to the store for more. My goodness, all of that food looks so incredibly delicious. Hugs... :)
ReplyDeleteYummeee! Thanks for sharing. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteYou ALWAYS make me hungry, WHY of WHY did I check your blog tonight:) I have some fresh, cold watermelon... that will have to do! LOVE strawberries, any 'ole way! Enjoy your evening dear friend, HUGS!
ReplyDeleteHi Bj, I really enjoy strawberries and I love all of your ideas for dessert. I need to cut them up as I bought them yesterday. Thanks for the reminder. Lol.

ReplyDeleteYou're so sweet to stop by and leave me a comment about the price of a movie admission when we were born!!! I had to chuckle. :) And I LOVE strawberries, too...yum!!! Happy SONday!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Pink Saturday, sweet friend. Oh, girl, I do love me some strawberries. And, they look delicious every single way you prepared them.
ReplyDeleteTell me about the vintage buttermilk goblet. I have two that look quite similar, but I didn't know they had a name. Please, do tell. Inquiring minds want to know.♥
I do remember the goblets, both grandmothers has them. Love the yummy looking plates of food.
ReplyDeleteI love that goblet....you are making me think I need a couple!
ReplyDeleteHi bj! I love all those wonderful summer berries....there is a little breakfast place near my home that has a summer special, A Strawberry Fields waffles! They even serve strawberry butter! I need to visit once more before they take those berries away! You are a joy to share and visit with . Always my pleasure to be here and hope your week is wonderful. Always thiankful for the wonderful friendship and fellowship I have found here. Hugs, Anne
ReplyDeleteHi BJ,
ReplyDeleteOh how I wish that I could visit you at breakfast time! I do love strawberries, biscuits, and . . . most anything else! Thanks for playing today.
Happy Blue Monday!
Yum, we do love them too. Pretty post.
ReplyDeleteI had my grand daughter with me shopping and she told me she wanted some blue berries so of course I bought them
and came home and my daughter said, "Mom the only kind of blue berries Lily likes is chocolate covered ones." LOL
Joy @ Books and Life
Laughing about Pooh and Piglet!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun and delicious post :)
I like your hair red ;)))! And I love strawberries. We get them in February in Florida. I mean fresh, you pick at the farm market! One of the best things about living in the subtropics. Here, in Oregon, they are best in June and July. You (and Pooh ) have inspired me to try some new breakfast menus though. I get bogged down and in a rut on that meal .
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is plain or in salad...of course fresh strawberry ice cream is good too!
ReplyDeleteI like strawberries plain or as part of a shortcake. You've shared so many yummy ways to eat them too BJ, and I am still laughing about the redhead quip at the end of your post.
ReplyDeleteI'm going for my highlights tomorrow and since autumn is coming I'm thinking of putting a few red strands back in since I'm a strawberry blonde anyway.
Thanks for linking to Mosaic Monday.
