Some Really Cool Pinterest Features

My bloggy friend over at MY JOURNEY BACK shared some of her favorite Pinterest pictures and ideas.
And, being the copy cat that I am, I wanted to do the same....
Since I am so lovin' the BEACH/LAKE house decor,
I want to show you some that almost brings me to my knees....

I'm so in love with this look...
doesn't even look hard to do ....white walls, FOR SURE...
find a thrifted chest..redo it in whatever design you like and
GRAB THE FABULOUS PAINT.
THE ABOVE and ALL THE FOLLOWING PHOTOS FOUND HERE.
♥ ♥ ♥
I have just become a lover of ORANGE since moving into the Summer House.
I tried to decide WHY I would start liking it after years of it being one of
my least favorite colors in the world.
 ♥ ♥ ♥
And, then, that infamous light bulb lit up and there it was...
THE REASON........ORANGE and TURQUOISE are phenomenal together.

Bright colors were just MADE for Beach and Lake house design.

I think I actually started hyperventilating when I found THIS beautiful room.
All the marvelous whites and just the right touches of color....
OOO, I do love this room.

How in the world can you have so much luscious color and the room
still radiate RELAX...REFRESH..
I happen to think it's the light blue sofas,
the large white table...
and the flowery drapes, lined in blue, send ME a vibe of
FLOWER GARDEN.....

I barely got my breath back to normal and not feeling dizzy from looking at fabulous decorating and then, I went down again when I saw that room up above.
O MY GOSH...
the turquoise sofas...that amazing stripped pillow...the cream chairs...
white walls...

Once again..
the whites with the blues....different shades of blue.

Thanks for viewing all these beauties with me.
If you have some favorite things on Pinterest, will you kindly share with us ?

I have no idea where I got this photo but isn't that turquoise the most beautiful, distressed
color ...

If I can find who this photo belongs to, I hope to get permission to copy it..have it enlarged and frame it for my Summer House wall.

NOW...I would much rather have this beautiful hutch/cabinet than a PHOTO of it but I have no idea how to get that same effect on the cute little hutch in my living room.

ANYway...just wanted to show it to you.

What ? You want a snack now.?

OOO....OK..

Just like a Pineapple UPside Down Cake...
Pam a muffin tin...
a little butter in each cup...
sprinkle BROWN SUGAR...
add a bright red CHERRY...
a spoonful of CRUSHED PINEAPPLE...
a few pecans...
************

lay a piece of CRESCENT roll over each cup
and slide into a 400 oven until golden brown.

YES, MA'AM....
if you like PINEAPPLE UPSIDE DOWN CAKE....
these little treasures
ARE FOR YOU..
SO EASY...
SO FAST...
SO GOOD....
XOXOXOXOXOXOXO .

  5. I know distressed painting is popular, but I've never understood the appeal. I do like the look of some chalk paints before the distressing and antiquing comes around.

  6. Such popular beach colors because they feel so cool, cool, cool. Perfect for hot, hot, hot Texas.

  7. Still can't embrace 'orange' except in pastel---maybe some day.
Won't be long before I taste one of those pineapple muffins. The goal is to pick-up crescent rolls tomorrow.

  12. Orange used to be my least favorite color, (well, after brown, blech!) but I find myself really loving it lately. Shades of coral are my favorite but orange is growing on me. And turquoise? Oh yes please! I remember w-a-a-a-a-y back seeing all the red and black on your blog and in your inspiration photos and loving all of it. You know I have loved those colors forever! I think we are both lightening up and loving fresher colors and styles. Still on a parallel path as far as what we love. That is one of the reasons I have always loved your blog!

  15. What fun, inspirational photos, bj! I have never, ever liked orange, either, but I enjoy seeing it in other people's decor. It does look pretty with turquoise, and so does pink and red. Now about those pineapple upside down cakes...yummy!

  19. Beautiful pics! I love turquoise! Don't you just wich sometimes that you could twitch your nose and poof, the room of your dreams would appear! Of course, then all the fun of dreaming would be taken away wouldn't it?

Must try the upside down muffins! Thanks!

  20. These are beautiful beach homes BJ. I love turquoise but my colours are soft yellows and greens so a dash of soft aqua works well with them. Sometimes I wish I had white walls and furniture so I could add any colour to it. Thanks for sharing these favourites. Have a great day.

  23. Hey, B.J. Yes--you don't have to add the lavender at all. A strawberry galette will be soooo delicious! I think it is pronounced like ga (gah with a soft a, as in "uh" with a g in front of it and the last part is prounced like "let," as in, "Mama LET the chickens out." GUH - let. This link has an audio that has the pronunciation. http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/galette

So sorry but I have no other choice.
I love my blogging friends and most of all my family but these spam prone people are so rude and selfish have made my blogging not nearly as much fun..
