Bread and No Jelly ???....O Dear

There's not too many foods I love better than HOT BREAD...

BUTTERED...

WITH JELLY...

But after I baked these Brown and Serve rolls this morning,

 I realized  I was OUT OF JELLY...

Some mornings, gravy will do...

and some mornings, honey will work...

but not THIS morning.

...it took no time at all until those berries and water and sugar were

gently boiling... making goood stuff.

 Believe me when I say this was MUCH better than jelly..

 Any berries can be done this way and it's delicious...

 I learned about making a
SIMPLE SYRUP
in high school....
a long, LONG time ago.....

I've made a simple syrup flavored with maple flavoring and it is sooo good.

 This is a tiny pitcher and I didn't make much..

I sliced more strawberries and poured a little of this syrup over them...

Fresh bread from the bakery....

*side note....

I decided to buy a little toaster oven so as not to be using my big oven for a tiny bit of food.
I love using this..makes me feel like I am saving a tiny bit of money....I don't like that I am cooking for one, now, tho. 😢

...and, if you are lucky and made just enuf of this scrumptious 

fruit and syrup,

you just may have enuf in the evening to add to the toasted bread

for a "bedtime snack"....

Little Tiny Bites of Autumn

I adore semi-homemade so much. ♥♥♥

The test kitchens that come up with the mixes have
"Come a long way, Baby"

I dearly LOVE the words,
JUST ADD MILK 😍

Those that know me, know I always add
vanilla to any of my mixes....

 and for these pumpkin morsels,
I also added
cinnamon and NUTMEG.....

Pumpkin ANYthing needs a dash of nutmeg.....

This was my first time to use this mix and it is very good.
The instructions on the packet say
bake 10-12 minutes
but I baked mine about 8-9 minutes...
didn't want to take the chance of them being too dry.....
and they were moist and delicious....
and the bite size is just right.......
