CHOCOLATE GRAVY
1/3 stick butter
2/3 cup sugar
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/3 cup cocoa
1/3 stick butter
2/3 cup sugar

2 cups whole milk

Heat
butter in a cast iron skillet over low heat. Mix in sugar, flour and
cocoa. Slowly pour 1 cup of milk into the skillet and whisk well to
remove lumps. Whisk in remaining milk, stirring constantly, until
mixture is thick, being careful not to scorch. Serve hot over
biscuits.

It takes me right back to DALLAS and my beloved cousin, SKEET. ♥
SKEET lived in Dallas and when I would go spend a little time in the summer with my daddy...
we always got SKEET to come stay, too.
Our very favorite SWEET was COCOA and SUGAR.
We'd mix it all up in a cup and nearly CHOKE to death on it's sugary powder.
We loved it sooo much and now that we are in our 80's
we STILL talk about it every time we visit on the phone.
OK....so back to my gravy....

I woke up hungry for CHOCOLATE GRAVY....
Sooo
I had a skillet full of this luscious gravy bubbling before I could say,
JACK SPRATT....
While it simmered on the stove,
I made a small batch of hot biscuits...
OOO HONEY
This part always makes me sad...
if Mr. Sweet was standing beside me as I poured the gravy into the boat,
he would have had a spoon in his hand,
all ready to "lick" the pan.
O, how I wish he was here....
on the other hand, I know in my heart he is having so many more blessings
than licking the pan of chocolate gravy...😢

You know tasters test to ummmm make sure its just right. Yes that's what I will tell everyone when none is left for anyone else.
