Most every season, I have a pretty wreath for my front door....
I make them all...
well, I at least PUT them together myself.
I make them all...
well, I at least PUT them together myself.
Now living in a pool house, aka The Summer House,
what I CALL my front door opens from the pool right outside
into my dining room.
I LOVE IT...
because THIS is what I am blessed to see
every time I look out my double set of French doors...
because THIS is what I am blessed to see
every time I look out my double set of French doors...
This beautiful day, I cleaned the glass in the doors...
then started gathering from my stash of faux plants and flowers...
So I gathered greenery from my FAUX STASH,
found my WELCOME basket
and began to build.
I am not ready to put out many faux flowers just yet...
I like to wait until we have a few REAL ones growing....
until more into spring and summer.
until more into spring and summer.
I love adding these lime green berries in with
green hydrangeas ....
This is one of my favorite colors in the whole world.
With wire and hot glue, I hope the wind won't blow any of the basket full of lusciousness into the pool.....
when I have hanging stuff outside and the wind gets up high, I just bring it inside until things settle down out there.
I'm very pleased with my early spring basket...
I hope it welcomes every one with a warm feeling.
our pretty TEXAS sky...
as blue as that pool water.
Not a cloud in sight....
of course, that can change in the blink of an eye....
I love this BJ...spring green is so vibrant and just makes us want more sunshine! Beautiful spring basket which will work great for summer too!

ReplyDeleteOh bj that basket is so pretty on your door. I love love seeing the pretty pool. We are still pretty cold here. Maybe hit 70 on Sunday so that will be so nice. We will not be seeing our pools here in Illinois until June. Your summer home is a heaven on earth home. Enjoy.

That's so pretty, BJ! And don't you love that glass cleaner?
ReplyDeleteBj your basket is so pretty and lush. You have an amazing view outside your door. We had gusty winds the other day and I thought of you mentioning the winds you can get.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your sunshine
Cindy
So pretty. I laughed at the glass cleaner. I need to post about mine. My grandson did the glass back door and window in Cowboys man cave because Domino leaves nose prints. Cost me .50 but now they are clean. I bet you get big doggie nose prints! Have a good week.
ReplyDeleteLove the basket. You're very creative. I could take those same items and copy what you did, but I couldn't come up with that on my own! And the view out your 'front' door, wow!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely way to welcome spring with the gorgeous greenery filled basket! I can imagine with the Texas gale-force winds at times that hot-glue would be a necessity, lol! Such a gorgeous view of the pool that you have! Enjoy the lovely spring weather, it has been raining a lot here ;) Blessings!
ReplyDeleteBJ,
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for stopping by!! I love your Welcome basket and how you decorated it!! Very pretty!! What a great view you have!!
