Apples and Autumn just GO together, don't they.
I like apples just about any way they are fixed...
and raw is good, too.
I had 2 pretty large ones that really needed to be made
into some kind of APPLE DELIGHT...
and fresh apple muffins are about as delightful as you can get.
My sweet, caring blogging friend, Michele, that lives
at THE NEST AT FINCH REST
sent me this sweet candle holder...
and she made the pumpkin card.
"Thanks so so much, Michele....I just love them...
and I love you, too."

ReplyDeleteBJ, I have missed your wonderful cooking . You are so good at making things that just fit the season. I bought two bags of apples, thinking, they do go with the season. Then I bagged most of them up and took them to my daughter's. LOL. I cut some up into a salad today and added craisins too. It was delicious. I have made apple crisp also. :):) Now I am thinking muffins. :):) Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie

ReplyDeleteBJ, It's wonderful to see you posting again . . . and who doesn't love apples :) That saying is actually very true, eating a fresh apple everyday keeps our systems cleaned out and in great working order. Maybe not the most pleasant thing to say about apples, but as we get older, very important, LOL.
ReplyDeleteHave a glorious day!
Connie :)
Oh yes, apples are an Autumn delight! We had an orchard when I was growing up. And we had a U Pick. I remember being the money taker. We sure met a lot of people. We had ref and yellow delicious apples. Probably why their still my favorites ! At the end of the season we'd pick what was left, wrap them in newspapers an d store them in the basement for a winter treat!!! Those muffins look wonderful. What a lovely gift from your friend.
ReplyDeleteLove and miss you
