Son and DIL have a party every Super Bowl...
Lots of friends and family and a great time....
not to mention all the good foods.
Everyone brings their favorite finger foods and wines.
Mr. Sweet and I took :
Bacon Cheese Jalapeno Popper Dip
and the best dip I've ever had....sooo good
If you like jalapenos...and bacon...and green chilies...and cheese...
you most likely will LUV this one.
2 pkgs (8oz) cream cheese
1 cup shredded cheddar (or of your choice)
1 sm. can Green Chilis
1 sm can chopped Jalapenos (I added more...we like a good BITE)
1 pkg. of Bacon PIECES ( NOT bits....never Bacon BITS..BOO)
Mayo (REAL MAYO) ...enuf to make your dip hold together but still dippable...
Refrigerate until ready to EAT...
***
Next, from Pinterest, I think,
Lil' Smokies
simmered in mustard and APPLE JELLY...
say What...Apple Jelly...??....yep
into my tiny little APPETIZER CROCK POT
for about 1-2 hours.
These are good...they're sweet...
but I will say that I like them simmered in a good BARBECUE sauce the very best...
maybe because I'm TEXAN..:)
Then comes the grilled Jalapeno Cheese sausage....
"thanks for grilling these, Mr. Sweet..makes the flavor so so good."
I cut and rolled ea piece in PUFF PASTRY...
melted butter on top of ea...
and sprinkled with Garlic Bread salt
topping off with a sprinkle of Poppy Seeds.
These were delicious....
scrumptious....
and I didn't make nearly enuf.
and, since our son, David, had a birthday just a few days before
