Our son, DAVID, and DIL, KATHY,
have 3 grandchildren
(making US 3 GREAT-Grands...duh)
so they love to decorate for the children.
The Minions sliding down their very own slide.
Kathy has it anchored very well...
or else they might just slide right into that pool....BRRRR
*
It's just as cute as it can be...
the kids haven't seen it yet and I know they are going to
jump up and down with excitement.
*
Not knowing squat about MINIONS, the first thing I noticed
was that one of them had only ONE EYE....What...??
I had to google them to see if one was minus an eye....and sure 'nuf...
I found a ONE EYED MINION...
All the PINK FLAMINGOS
around the pool have been
winterized
with toboggans and blue bow scarves.
Here's the baby...
at first I thought that was a big white Flamingo Egg...
but on closer inspection..I see it's a White Pumpkin, holding
that baby down in case of winds...
I'm not sure Flamingos can swim...
*Next is the cute boat with SANTA and his first mate, PENGUIN PETE .
*
This is a terrible photo...
I should have used a different setting, obviously....
I just wanted you to see the amazing reflections of all the fun lights.
*
And, I have to admit that I have no idea who this fella is...
all I know is...
Ha! The lighted flamingos look so cute! But those Minions. No kidding, when they first came on the scene, I couldn't see what the attraction was, but our little grandson LOVES them, has a minion hat, a minion bath towel, and other minion stuff. I guess I should watch the movie. Maybe it would explain the appeal. LOL It's fun seeing how others decorate for Christmas. Hope you have a wonderful weekend, BJ.
ReplyDeleteObviously, you are very behind in your movie viewing. Now those greats might be able to get you back on board! Minions are adorable and so hilarious! Speaking of hilarious, love that photo of Thanksgiving with everyone laughing. I am curious, but too polite to ask. LOL!
ReplyDeleteAwwww, bj! Y'all are just the GREATEST grandparents! What a wonderland of fun for the little ones!
ReplyDeleteThe "other guy" is Olaf, the snowman who set out to help find/rescue Queen Elsa in FROZEN. I specially know this because we made three dozen string-cheese OLAFS for Sweetpea's birthday last year. Little dot eyes and mouths and buttons, and a wee orange stripe for the carrot nose---we ever served Olaf's Noses on the veggie tray, but then all the food at the FROZEN party had a cutesy name.
Hope you're staying warm---I hope I flamingoes out in the far back garden are not shivering---we haven't got out there with the hats and scarves yet.

PS you can make quick cute minions for breakfast if you cut bananas in half and set them on the flat ends and stick on chocolate chips for eyes.
Oh BJ, what fun! The sweet holiday extras would bring a smile to anyone's face, young and old :) Wishing you a lovely Christmas season. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteMy nephews adore the minions
ReplyDeleteThey look fantastic....love Christmas lights....and your never too old for all things Minion ...HPS Michelle

BJ, I bet the grands will squeal when they see those minions. With them around the pretty pool it's more appealing. I like the little lit up flamingo. Blessings to you & yours, xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteOh yes, those little ones are going to LOVE the characters around the pool! What a great idea to have the reflections of Christmas in the pool! Like joining Summer and Winter:) Have a blessed day dear B.J. HUGS!
ReplyDeleteWow this is all too fun and adorable! The kids will be thrilled.
ReplyDeletexoxo,

I am with you bj ... I would not know the characters from Frozen either. No little ones around us to keep us up-to-date ... but the decoration do look pretty. Hope the little ones do not want to go down the slide. Love that your DIL is preparing the flamingos for winter. Brrr.
ReplyDeleteWarm hugs,
Audrey Z. @ Timeless Treasures
