Pitiful Pearl

Every now and then, I feel the
" CREATE URGE..."
Why, I don't know, since there's not a creative bone in my body.
My mother could create anything ....
I didn't inherit her talents ....
                                                                                       just the urges.

When Hobby Lobby put their grapevine wreaths on sale,
I bought several...
I SHOULD have bought a sweet Autumn swag to wind around one of the wreaths....
That way, I would have been sure of how the wreath was going to turn out...

I just wanted to make my own....
O, I've made several wreaths in my loooong lifetime...
especially love to make up pretty Christmas wreaths...

OK....here I go...

but, when I found all the flowers, leaves and berries in the fall colors I love,
AND, at 75% off on most of them,
I thought, "SURELY I can do this..."

Well...
first off, the plastic stems, with WIRE running thru them the size of a high-line wire,

I had to use WIRE CUTTERS...heavy DUTY wire cutters...
Good grief....what an experience...
having to use MAN tools just nearly changed my mind about all this.

Waaay before I finished this wreath,
I KNEW it wasn't going to be any where near what I'd had in mind.

...while I LUV these fall colors,
my wreath was....BOR......ING.
bummer

SOOO...
I had to add some
CUTENESS...
a little more COLOR...
a bit of WIMSEY...

and a
WHOLE LOT OF BLING...
(i do love me some bling )

 I like it now...
A LOT....

I HOPE it says
"WELCOME...."

I am so far behind in posting fall...
greenhouse...
now HALLOWEEN is upon us.
MERCY ME....

Grilled Cheese with a Twist...
don't these all sound sooo good....

I'm going to do
CHEDDAR AND RED PEPPER JELLY ON POTATO BREAD....
SOON...!!!

  17. Your wreath is very welcoming and the owl is the perfect finishing touch. We must be related...love me some bling too! Some of the wire is hard to cut...I use my husband's sheet metal tools when I encounter a stubborn wire.

  22. BJ as an artist I discovered at a very young age it all starts from a space in your heart that pumps courage and willing to take a chance. Also the realization that others can not see what is so clearly visual in my mind, so I do what my imagination sees. I think your wreath turned out very well, enjoy. I love grilled cheese your sandwiche sounds like a yum. Boo kisses to you sweet friend.

  25. Your wreath turned out wonderfulloy, bj!

As for grilled cheese, I was having a little lunch break and reading some blog posts munching on half a grilled cheese when I read this one. Kinda neat. I REALLY wanted to make a WHOLE one and not a half, but I absolutely need to lose weight. It's not easy with all the delicious posts out there, is there? Have a safe and fun weekend, Hugs.

So sorry but I have no other choice.
I love my blogging friends and most of all my family but these spam prone people are so rude and selfish have made my blogging not nearly as much fun..
