Our son, DAVID, and his family had a great vacation
in the sunny state of Florida last month.
They had not been there before and found a lot of great things to do and see.
When they came home, they brought me a cute gift in THIS...
I mean......how CUTE can a spoon rest be...???
So cute that I hated to "hide" it by the stove, putting a greasy spoon on it....
No sir....I had better plans for this little SILVER SEA HORSE.
Giddy Up, Little Candy Horse....
....a cute piece of faux turquoise coral...a great photo partner for a sea horse. :)
It's neat that you put the candy inside. Also helps me understand how big the dish is.
ReplyDeleteThat's a wonderful idea turning the spoon rest into a candy dish! I agree that it is too cute to be used as a spoon rest. Great combination with the coral!
ReplyDeleteHow cute!
ReplyDeletecool seahorse dish
ReplyDeleteHow pretty! And it's always fun to get a sweet pressie! I put up a banner today that you helped me with 'way back when'! I wanted something different and found this one to use again. Sending you LOTS of Sweet hugs, Diane
ReplyDeletethat is so cute!! I agree, no greasy spoon for this beauty, much better with sweets!!
ReplyDeletelovely gift, and what a super idea for it, and coral to keep up the seaside theme.
ReplyDeleteHow cool! Unique comes to mind. And like you, I would not want to hide it in the kitchen! Sheila
ReplyDeleteIt's so neat to be able to hop over here from Tessa's blog. Just a quick hello...and to tell you that that little sea horse is adorable. Makes for a cute as heck "candy horsie"...for sure! :)
ReplyDeleteBJ, You are right...that little horse is way to cute to keep on the stove. I like him as a candy holder or even jewelry holder. I would also recycle that cute bag...I always do any around here. LOL Blessings, xoxo,Susie

ReplyDeleteOh so cute a spoon rest! I was just shopping for one to take to the Greek house and all I could find were rather boring looking white ones . . .this is adorable! (And I love the way your are using it!) hugs, Jackie

ReplyDeleteThat is a wonderful gift.
ReplyDeleteI would frame that baby and hang it on a wall, no glass on course. Maybe put a fe shells or sea glass around it. It's too cute to be sitting anywhere!!
ReplyDeleteVery sweet! A perfect keepsake from Florida!
ReplyDeleteI love it!! Harvey and I make a practice of either picking up a few shells or some small rocks from every beach we visit.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
